| Info: | Yes, April fools day is the date of the next World Beats and Eats. This Month we revert back to the traditional WB&E format, but keep an eye for new event morphs in the future (Nudges towards a LIVE event) Once again The Mercury lounge will host World Beats and Eats, and once again it will be an event chock full of community initiative. This months beneficiary is: -----IFCO.... the Independent Filmmakers Cooperative of Ottawa [ www.ifco.ca ] They describe themselves best in their mandate: "Our Mandate is to promote the expression of ideas, values and experience through the medium of film, as well as to establish a permanent and vibrant filmmaking community in the Ottawa region." ************************************* The Beats...... This package has yet to float it's way to my door through the turbulent waters of the Federal Express network..... Stay Tuned!!!!! ... but here are some of the regular freebies: Bebel Gilberto, (the real) Tuesday Weld, Bossacucanova, Los Mocosos, Issa Bagayogo, Sylk 130, Euphoria, and Michael Franti & Spearhead, Bob Holryod. The Eats...... Nagina Indian Cuisine (@ 217 Rideau) Will be sampling us some of there Samosas. Seoul House (@607 Somerset W) will cater to our sushi desires. Greek Greek (@ 81A Clarence) is going to give a taste of Greece. The Art..... This months vernissage is People by Proxy, a group show of 9 local emerging photo based and photo inspired artists.
