Pour sa troisième escale, le plus tanguant des navires vous propose un line-up alléchant et des beats électro chavirants … …………………………………………†¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦ The Juan Maclean (US) – DJ Set DFA Records [ www.myspace.com ] Après une carrière chez Six Satellite Finger (Sub Pop) dans les années 90 et un passage à vide pour des problèmes d’addiction à la fin du groupe, c’est James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) ami et ex-ingé son du groupe grunge de Maclean, qui remet ce dernier en selle chez DFA avec un des ces anciens projets électro: The Juan Maclean. Épanoui en live dans son nouveau groupe avec Nancy Chang, Juan Maclean l’est aussi derrière les platines en DJ Set. Mandaté par la célèbre compilation DJ Kicks pour sa dernière édition, sortie en Avril 2010 pour un mix house pointu, hybride entre new-disco et acid house. Une maîtrise du tracklisting qui saura gâter puristes et publics à la recherche de sensations et de pistes exaltées. Black Devil Disco Club (FR) – LIVE – Lo recordings [ www.myspace.com ] Bernard Fèvre aka Black Devil Disco Club c’est l’histoire d’un artiste oublié des années 70, resté un peu en marge à l’époque et qui a été sorti de deux décennies de sommeil par les géniaux Chemical Brothers et le très mystérieux Aphex Twin … Sampler sur l’album Surrender par la fratrie chimique en 99 (1 million d’exemplaires), puis signé en 2004 sur le label d’Aphex Twin, BDDC ressort d’un long purgatoire artistique pour montrer qu’il n’a rien perdu de sa verve démoniaque. Dans les années 70, Black Devil préfigurait déjà des courants repris plus tard par des artistes comme Joy Division, Giorgio Moroder, la new-wave ou l’électropost-disco des années 2000. Il revient sous le pseudo BDDC, 20 ans plus tard, enflammer les dancefloors européens de ses sets italo-disco électrisés et psychédéliques, marqués par l’influence des synthés de sa jeunesse et des vocales gothiques du dark disco… VHS or BETA Dee Jays (US) – DJ Set – Chromosome Records [ www.myspace.com ] A ses débuts, le VOB est plutôt marqué noisy punk. Fin des années 90, le groupe adopte le synthé et rapidement leur amour pour la house et la French Touch va les conduire vers un nouveau style, preuve en est avec leur second album, Le Funk, en 2002. Les french robots des Daft Punk et Dimitri from Paris, auront vite fait de rembobiner les VOB vers l’époque new wave. La formation traditionnelle, VOB se transforme en duo des platines avec VOBDJ. Des mix très influencés house, tech-house, une électro très actuelle et hyper dancefloorisante, inspirée par la FT, la dance des années 90 et par les beats electro modernes. Du gros concentré d’énergie qui ne vous laissera que l’embarra du choix pour savoir quel spot choisir au cours de cette soirée. Beat Torrent (FR) – DJ SET – Kif Records [ www.myspace.com ] Quelques heures après vous avoir torréfié les tympans au Club Soda, Beat Torrent largue les amarres sur le MEG Boat, mais cette fois ci en DJ set ! Nouveau duo résolument electro et dancefloor de Atom et Pfel, Beat Torrent allument les clubs qui se trouvent sur leur chemin en égrainant des sets électro, rock et hip-hop, toujours explosifs. Assimilant morceaux electro épileptiques à des hits du hall of fame musical. Mode opératoire: une technique hors paire (quintuple champion du monde ça aide), des remixs self-made home (Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill, Daft Punk, Blur Beatles) qui leur confèrent un statut de« top gun»» du genre, un mix à 4 platines délirant à la 2 many Djs. Une seule préoccupation pour les BT: vous faire danser jusqu’à votre dernier souffle en vous immergeant dans leur torrent de beats tapageurs. Jordan Dare (CAN) – DJ Set – Turbo Records [ www.myspace.com ] Dare débarque à Montréal dans le début des années 90, en provenance des USA, et se fera un nom sur la bouillonnante scène électronique montréalaise en aussi peu de temps qu’il n’en faut pour passer la frontière… Dj drum n’ bass très en vue à la fin des années 90, Dare sait varier son style pour s’imposer au cours des 10 dernières années comme un des «locaux» les plus incontournables grâce à ses mixs électro dark. Une reconnaissance qui lui aura permis de se produire dans les évènements et les salles majeurs de la ville: I Love Neon, Piknic Électronik, au club Stereo, le Blizzarts, Foufounes Électriques, Métropolis, et j’en passe. Blossomed in his new live band with Nancy Chang, Juan Maclean is also pleased behind turntables for a DJ Set. Commissioned by the famous DJ Kicks compilation for its lastest edition, released in April 2010 for a keen house mix, hybrid between new-disco and acid house.
