None of us know how to use large machinery. And I don?t think any of us have much of a golf swing. But one thing that the RhythmWorks and Vandelay Productions boys know how to do, is throw big ass parties. And this Victoria Day long weekend (Sunday May 23rd), in the absence of Swirl, we?re proud to present another edition of Cycle (last year was headlined by Satoshi Tomiie at Space). This time around, V.i.b.e nightclub is hosting 2 rooms of long weekend after hours mayhem, featuring: Main Room, 3 headliners (to our knowledge it?s been years and years since anyone has tried to bring 3 headliners of this size to Ottawa, and we?re looking to keep the ticket price at 20$ in advance, more at the door) timeslots: Akash Sinha and Dan Medland [b]Luke Fair[/b] (Bedrock ?Yoshitosi - [ www.lukefair.com ] [b]Palash[/b] [b](saeed and palash/addictive records)[/b] [b]Preach [/b] (Aria ? These tickets GARANTEE you won't have to wait in line at the door - unless, of course, 20 ticket holders get at the door at the same time! Also, when you get in the club, your name will automatically be added to a DRAW - see below for more details. And of course, the ticket gives you access to both rooms. At the door: Tickets at the door will be 25$ before 12:30am, more after. If the 25$ price is outside your price range, or you're only interested in our lounge acts, we're offering a special 15$ price. This can be paid any time before 12:30am, at the door. This price does not allow you to see the headliners upstairs. But wait, there's even more! [b]Draws[/b] DRAW #1 - Ticket holders. If you bought an Advanced ticket, we will add your name, at the door, to this draw. The Grand Prize is: - $200 bar tab, courtesy of the promoters, at our next event. - $25 Gift Certificate at HMV. - $100 Gift Certificate at Rideau Centre. DRAW #2 - Getting in before 1am. If you get in before 1am, your name will be added to this draw, where you could win: - $200 Gift Certificate at Rideau Centre. One thing we?d like to point out is that we?re going to go gangbusters on the production. People have been asking for big sound/lights/visuals, so we?re going to pay the extra money to make it happen. We?ll post some bios on the headliners shortly, but I think most of you know how big these guys are. Preach is obviously Canada?s techno darling, and we?re stoked to unleash him on this sound kit we?re bringing in. Palash is one of North America?s premier big room djs, those who came to the nights at atomic remember those long long nights. And Luke Fair might be one of the brightest stars on the Bedrock label. He?s been on the balance (collective) roster with giants like Sasha/Lawler/Digweed for some time now. |
