I had to wait like 2 1/2 hours at the passport office also, only to find out I needed a "new" birth certificate, as the one I had was not valid anymore... So that meant even more bullshit but eventually I got it... |

yeah, i need that new birth certificate too. i'm filling out the forms now. it's $15, which isn't so bad.
hopefully i can get the new certificate and the passport by june (i have two months to get it all done) |

new certificate can take up to a month and a half, and yr going to have to go IN to the passport bureau and pay the extra $ to have it done more quickly (thats what I had to do in Nov cos I was going to the UK), otherwise, you wont have both done in 2 mos. |

| when i went to israel... i had to get a new passport, and my mom thought shed renew hers too (for the fuck of it)... and we paid extra to get mine quicker... but she got hers in the mail first, and a week an a haf later i had to go to the office myself to pick mine up.. wtf! |
