Road Trips...

| k i want to go on a road trip this summer, but i'm having trouble deciding where.
quebec city - we could go for a weekend, leave friday night and return on sunday. go check out the sights during the day and go to an afterhours or something at night. no days of work to be taken off.
new york city - i think it's like a 9 hour drive to nyc, and i'd like to have at least 2 full days of sightseeing. we could leave thursday morning, then we'd have friday and saturday to play and then we'd come back on sunday as to only miss 2 days of work. maybe we could push it to leave monday. i know it's really expensive down there so i don't know where we'd stay but i don't want to stay at a hostel. i haven't been to nyc since '98 and i really don't know the city at all so does anyone have any suggestions?
east coast - since nyc is expensive, maybe we could just pass through or something. this trip would be say 4 or 5 days. we could drive down to virginia beach or something and stay at crack motels along the way. we could hit up boston, nyc, philly, and DC.
to drive directly to VA is about 12 hours, i checked on yahoo maps. so maybe we could leave wednesday and get back sunday or something. cause i don't know if i could afford to take and whole week off work AND pay like $500 for the trip. i don't know if i'm being totally unreasonable.
1) who's in?
2) who's car?
3) how much money do you think each of these would cost? |

| k nevermind driving to VA beach and stopping along the way would take a lot longer than 5 days and more than $500. i don't know what i was thinking. |

| First of all if your gonna go to the states your going to need to save up TWICE as much money. Hotels in the city don't allow more the 4 people for room unless the room is large enough. Staying in long island is a cheaper way and they have busses into the city. |

| if you go to NYC, you gotta check out Harlem. its by far the most fascinating neighborhood in the city, and its not at all dangerous during the day. go on a sunday and eat soul food with all the people after church hour.
just be sure to leave before nightfall, when the church goers go to sleep and the junkies take over |
