Is there like, a war going between
djs in montreal. I mean woah...
whats going on. everybody bitches everybody
espacialy party promoters.

There's even people that think I'm a spy
Holaaaaaaa relax people, me neutral not
psy_spy...

I'm there for the music, not the biching.

All partys are good if you make the best of it.

I also noticed something, young djs are more
open minded than older ones. I think jealousy
as something to do with it. Guys play more often
if your jealous of the younger ones. They're the ones that are gonna take over when your done.

Now could'nt you guys get togeter and do
things or something ? mega party ???

It's the same bullshit in DnB. People not throwing monthly parties are calling those that are like DnB sellouts because they're making it "mainstream" and "accesible" for not "keeping it underground", which is total and utter bullshit. It's even managed to just extend to the fuckin' crowd.

It's so petty and pathetic, like fuck, music is suposed to be what brings us together, and some fucking idiots are busy trying to pull people apart by making diffrent factions and saying "If you go to these monthly events than your not REALLY into it, your just a trend-follower, your only REAL if you come to OUR 'underground' parties that get thrown once every 3 months"

Hilarious shizznit we're talkin' about right here ...

As if dj's should really have lotsa credit anyways ..
we don't even compose the choons ...

To me a dj is like a plumber or a butcher or any other simple man ..
Deserves respect like other humans, that's it ..

Its all about music dammit

Some might say -look who's talkin ? - , for i probably had my dose of drama in the past n' shit ..
but in the end its all for pure pleasure n' music ..

What wars are u talking about in fact J-F ?
in psytrance peeps diss each others ?
thought it was a *peace * scene ..

well.. i'd have to totally agree that there is alot of coldness and competition in the psy scene.. lots of promotors hate eachother because they have "higher" standards or ideas of what a REAL party should look/sound like..

Hey, we are all humain, and we can't get along with everyone..

Personally, i hold no grudges against anyone from our scene.. i might have dirty opinions about some promotors or even other dj's, but it has nothing to do with there characters.. just the way they do things..

so yeah, thats what i think.. the only problem is that people take things too personal..

the secrect is, don't expect much.. :)

the term "rave" I dont like. But anyways no wars here...its highly childish. its not what the "scene" is supposed to be about...fuck competition. everyone should just chill and appreciate eachother spinning. Seb is right...djs dont even MAKE the actual music..just mix it. its supposed to be about a buncha frineds getting together and have someone play all the toons we all love and dance and enjoy. no competition and fighting:) come on:)

Yeah, but we live in a society where TV and movies lead you to believe that unless your a superstar, your existance is worthless. As much as someone can say that they love music and they ONLY spin "for the music" and that they don't want fame, well, that's just complete and utter bullshit. Everyone wants to be famous, everyone wants to be recognised world-wide. Why else would they be into a form of entertainment that's known to draw anywhere from 50 to 5000 people? They could be just as happy sitting at home spinning for themselves or listening to the music they love, but they actually just want fame, recognition and attention.

What happened to enjoying a sound, developing a talent and wanting to share it with others?...

I've been doing a paper on Hobbes and I noticed you've pointed one of the three causes of conflict (ompetition, defiance and fame) in the natural state of the human being. The guy would probably say that there is a war because there isn't anything to inspire respect towards each other, like a Léviathan (something non-human, stronger than everyone, thus making us fear it, but constructed with the purpose of peace). I'm now wondering how this monster would look like...

A set of rules?
The community?
A genius and notorious DJ?
Something else?

We are all equal in vanity, since we all think we're smarter than most of the poeple. We also are equal in our desires.
Could we explain this war from the youthness of the trance scene?

MR. Breathe, it comes out to the same thing i guess.. wanting to share it with others is the first step to fame.. hehehe.. you first spread the music.. but without places to spread the music, the "enjoying a sound" part is left unheard. Therefor, you must get to play out to spread this beautiful message of ours. the more you get out, the more experience you get.. and i think you know what comes next.. fame.. its like automatic.. like an actor that stars in 4 movies a year.. hard to forget no?? ;)

PEACE
