| Coolness: 71495 | so far going through it last night - well the trip reports reminded alot of reading H.P. Lovecraft stories (I was/am a big Lovecraft geek) - where scientists break through the boundaries of space-time and encounter strange sentient beings and dimensions in perceptions never before explored... what seem like distortions in the time-space fabric in fact hinting at the vast unknown of the high evolutionaries! the experiements were conducted with high grade IV injected DMT and they not only did simple experiments they also did habituation studies - wher they gave high doses at regular intervals for extended periods. its a fun read, hard to put down. Its always fun to read about psychedelics and the people who take them - and the research seems quite well done. I would get intense rushes simply reading it, and can only imagine what a real DMT injection at 0.4 mg/kg would be like, at multiple intervals! Inspriring. from a neutral standpoint this book mythifies the junky, and places the psychedelic monkey in a mystical realm, and is linked to alien sightings and all types of wondrous phantasmagorical creatures and settings (I remembered reading alien-abduction book Communion and getting spooked, I sometimes got this same feeling reading this book too) The chemical DMT is made to be the stuff of legends |
