Listen to Scorpio by Grandmaster Flash or Planet Rock by Afrika Bambaata. Electro and hip hop were seperated at birth. |

yeah....don't listen to thos "gogilos" and that lazy ass Miss Kitten (she sounds lazy and bored).....well do listen to what you want but, of course hehehe :b but if you listened to Cybotron Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambataa and other electro artists of the sort, then it would make some sense. |

It's not the same track. The Dennis Coffey one is from the early 70s... the Grand Master Flash one came much later and is a full-on vocoder overload... it might be my favourite electro track from that era. |

electro and hip hop used to be like bread and butter...
Nowadays they have this music called "electro" but it's more like 80s synth pop crap... |

bacially lets face it all the electro poop is not eletro
period... its a version of electro possibly but its pop not real booty shakin electro one thing we forget all the time is that elelctro in the truest sence of the form is influcned in large by the miami base sound which is why booty and electro and hip hop have so much in common... how ever pastey white boy electro pop is not really electro in the turest form of the music... :) just my 2 pennies worth... |
