if anyone knows these guys harass them constantly so that they keep doing Hostyn. this is the ill underground shiiiizzzz. had a wicked time fo' sho', too bad about some rain, but it gave the whole event a Nam-like edge that just intensified my already dreamlike state of being. wicked techno djs including soundshaper nivoc and philgood, fantomas too played a fucking solid set.. good to see someone bearing the techno torch -also lots of wicked music all round, some of which i missed no doubt. props to the old school jungle vibes in the cabin... big thanks to my allies who guided me through the trenches, miller, lee, j thrice, toltech, jack, kwayz, bruno, laura, gonzo, nat, julian, leelee, gen, mike for not drinking my rum, and everyone else. big thanks to tomas also and cass (i think that's your name)... keep keepin' it real |

I had a blaaaaaaaaaaaast:rollinplaying there!!!! The crowd's response to the hard-tech was just awesome! :D I had people coming to the booth to tell me they were loving it and a few waiting to tell me after I was done playing. This guy told me a few times and was like "I'm sorry, u might find me annoying by now but I really did love it. I think I had a religious experience" or something like that hahaha! It was just great! The setup was really nice-clean looking. Those green lit towers gave it a look as if we were in an outdoors club or something. The vibe was dope except for some shirtless guy who kept bothering all the girls. The people at the bar were super chill too and I never even think of mentioning that so I mean it. That delay between the main dancefloor and the dj booth was a little misleading. It's like there was times when I thought I was offbeat and so I'd boost up the monitor to see that I wasn't or the opposite, kind of annoying because I could only tell if I was or not by having the monitor to the max and well it was hurting my left ear but I had SOOOOOO much fun spinning there that it still didn't kill my vibe. I don't remember having that much fun spinning in front of people since that Tekstyle night @ Bluedog with the level 4 djs only. U remember that night Lalla? That was ill!! |

big ups to the eraproject fo pulling off another great outdoor event at camp Hostyn, nice one! This was a super fun party, even though I had been used and abused for several days(dj wise) and was pretty low on energy, I had a fun time playing in the beginning(trance/tech/housin'it out!) and enjoyed dropping a couple of drum&bass classics later on in the evenning wit mister Kiffah! Nuff respect to all the Montreal Dj massive and crowd who showed up and helped make this one a real memorable party, what can I say, I had a great time! Next Hostyn, I promise I'll get there on time for my set :P Until september, I'm going back underground to consort with some robots and overgrown toasters, much work is needed to be done on the time/weather machine, a very special cloud is quickly approaching the Montreal skies... Special Thanks to : Mr.Sarcasmix(a real funguy!), toltech:keep on truckin' bro, Tomas hot skillz, needs a Fan:P + all era crew: a fine job by all you fine folks!, Philgood who didn't mind stopping to buy farm grown corn on the way back, good convos about the scene and change... and to everyone else who helped make this party a funtime!!! |
