I guess i'm one of the first home... Big props to Kracked Knuckles and Freak Addiction Krew! Had a blast as usual. I wasnt a big fan of the venue however. Kinetic was impressive, as well as galaksy and MC Stryka. Did any of you see the fighting between a couple of people from the party and a group of club girls??? what was that all about?

Peace

On the real tip, let's start from square one, shall we???

10-12pm-Host One: Well I was pretty much alone on this one. I tried to rinse as many tracks as possible in those two hours but complications arose and I had to cut out a couple of times. But I want to say that it's not about playing in front of tons of ppl (although it would be nice), it's about hearing YOUR music on a good sound system, that's the only benefit.

12-1am:Jada/Mc Loco: The only thing I'll say is "SOoo MUCH TROOUBLE IN THE WAYYYY!". Yespier came up firmly with a tight mix of his usual funky/ragga jungle combination. Hard to mix with those tiny headphones, but he did a great job non the less. Big up!

1-2am:Axionfigga: This iDJ vet did a fantastic job on his selection. This guy is a real soldier, guys. I won't specify but let's just say he gots balls! Settin' em up and knockin' em down properly @ this event.

2-4am: Dj Kinetic and Mc Stryka: WWWHHHHHHAAAAAAAAATTTTT!!!!! MADNESS!! DIRTY FUCKING MADNESS!!The Toronto scratch master and selector far outdid himself for this event. Not only did he scratch most of his set, but he also
layed out phat ass track patterns to deek out the fuckin' crowd. Ex. He'll run a track, and over it hell play the main stabs from big tunes.
Alongside Kinetic was his verbal assasin MC Stryka, who did more than just get the crowd moving; he was shakin' his shit all over the place with his chants and wicked fore-running. Actually we ended doing some back to back shit up on the mic. Gotta say he's like my alter Toronto personality, were both pretty good hosts @ the party. Much appreciation to the Toronto cats last night. BRUK! BRUK!

4-5am: Dj Nitrous and Mc Host: Guillaume is one of my mentors, so it's only obviouse to go all out with the lyrical scheme tactics. The crowd was fuckin' RAGING on Nitrous' tracks. One after another big tunes ripped through the speakers and the walls came down. I was so hyped and into things, the final product was dope. Kracked Knuckles is definately in FULL EFFECT!

5-7: Galaksy b2b w/Dj Sleek: The Basshunterz crew and Freak Addiction melded together for the first time in history last night. Fictionnal provided his all exclusive tracks under the hands of the very skilled Sleek. The crowd was BANGIN' ON, STILL! Galaksy rushed through with his usual intelligent Drum and Bass selection,
Providing key changes in the crowds temper. I myself ended up playing a track composed by myself and Subtone. The crowds reaction was exhuberating. I was breathless seeing everybody enjoying our track. We all won in this situation.

Conclusion: Apart from the stupid clubbers and dumb ass security, the venue was pretty well ventilated and the crowd was definatly hyper.
Everybody toked up, coked up and drank up without any abrupt interruptions from the goons working there. We will NOT have a party there again. We understand the needs and wants of our peeps and we look out for them. Heads up for IN DA JUNGLE 1.4, July 14th. With more Toronto madness to hit the fan.

Host-1 signing out.

Fun time , but Insomnia SUCKS HARD !
We ran away right after the party with the defintie intention of never going back ...

Thanks to all who showed up ; you rock ! :)
Transcending the venue's troubles and still creating such good vibes and a crazy party ..
Props to the In Da JUngle crowd ; you guys are AMAZING !

Thanks + One LOve to my idj partners and friends Guillaume, Benj, Alex, Yespier, Edith and many more ...
From what i've heard KINETIC was fuckin' dope, smooth-funky, such a professional technique ....
The guy is a hip hop dj- fan that rocks it with drumn'bass, including its hip hop flavas to it like a real turntablist , cutting samples in and out ....
Props Jim !

NITROUS killed it totally !
SLEEK was a good partner , i'll pass for my part ....
Felt like my set was a total technical piece of shit ...
Still feel like i owe the crowd a technically killer one next time ...
People were dancing and screaming and diggin' even if it was 5 in the morning ...
They gave me so much i kinda feel bad i wasn't on fire ...
But i'll be back in full effect ...no worries ...

In the second room the drunk KARL MARX took care of the hip hop flavas, which seemed to be a theme for the night, and i've noticed the guy is as tight as a hip hop selecta as a techno one, Axionfigga delivered some good stuff too, especially the ROOTS MANUVA choon ....made my night !
And Pi 67 , reprezenting Freak Addiction Kru, what can i say ? Phil simply is a FUCKIN GREAT BREAKS dj !!!!!!

HOST ONE on the mic when i was playing was a real poet , da f.a.k. rhymes are ill, bring it on again Alex ! And the thanks speach by the end gave me shivers for 5 minutes ...

So ; thanks to all for supporting us ; keep on ! :)

This time its a promise ; In Da Jungle 1.04 = BACK TO UNDERGROUND-PRIVATE LOCATIONS !
Free fruits , good ventilation, not any other staff than the idj family itself = friendly staff only , and more improvement ....

A lot of great persons that were supposed to show up were missing, including Sammy Soyfunk ....
I guess they changed their minds when they figured where the party was at, it didn't help ...

There was pretty much less peeps than usual at idj, and that's not suprising because it was held at that venue ...

No more of that type of venues that's a promise !
