New Omni Mobile App

I now have a mobile App available for iPhone, Android and iPad. It has a lot of my tracks and sets available for streaming from your smartphone as well as videos, Twitter and Facebook feeds + notifications when I play a gig in your area. Of course it's free and available by going on [ omni.mobapp.at ] with your phone. Here's what it looks like: 
NOTE: Some Android users have reported problems with the audio playback. This depends on what device you use and what Android version you have. An update will be coming up in the next few weeks which should hopefully resolve the problem. Those who have other types of phones can still go to the same adress and will get a HTML5 mobile site which should work on most phones. Enjoy. ;) |

1. can you make it so that the status bar is NOT hidden with the red section at the top ? I wanna listen to your mixes and your tracks but I'd like to know if I'm streaming this on 3G or on Wifi. 2. I like you and all but would it be possible to have different wallpapers for different sections of the app ? It's just that you keep staring at me everywhere I go in the app and quite frankly... it's a bit weird. Heh. | Coolness: 87525 | Cool, thanks for the suggestions. I'll see what can be done! I agree that the status bar can be an issue. I'm using a platform called Conduit to build the app and convert it for the different types of phones, so I'm somewhat limited in the different changes I can do, but I'll look into it. ;) (But they also keep updating their tools, so I might be able to fix it later on at least.)
(Oh, and the screenshot you see comes from the "Web app" and not the native version. That explains the difference with the screenshot.) |

When the app loads, I don't mind so much but there are soooooo many different images you could use for each section of the app, I don't think your face needs to be on all of them. Unless you're narcissistic like that ( knowing you, you don't come across as the narcissistic kind ). I don't know, maybe a pic of you behind the decks could be featured as a background in the "DJ Sets & Live" section and for the "Originals" and "Remixes" sections, your album art is usually really interesting, would be cool to have the background change and match the track the user is currently streaming. In fact, that would be awesome. AS LONG AS WE DON'T SEE YOUR FACE ON EVERY PAGE. LOL. :) |

| Coolness: 87525 | Yeah, but the single background for all the pages seem to be a limitation of the tool I'm using to build it. It's in BETA though, so I expect that this is something I might be able to change in the future. In the meantime.... I'M WATCHING YOU. ;) |

Thanks! :) Can't say I did a very thorough check, but here it my small review: - Audio loads well. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any way to close currently-playing audio, just pause it. Wonder if it affects the other problem I seem to have, which is... - Videos don't seem to load. I waited about a minute for each video I tried, and none of them would load. I DID immediately open the youtube app and those videos loaded quickly. - Photos, links, twitter, fb, everything else seemed to work just fine! 1. Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000M), firmware 2.1-update1 2. Kernel version 2.6.29 3. Refer to above ;) ... Bravo Jo, ton app marche bien, somme toute :) |

Pour les vidéos, l'app ne fait dans le fond que loader les vidéos dans l'app Youtube du phone. Est-ce que ça faisait cela quand même correctement? Je suis content pour l'audio, car c'était le bogue principal avec la version précédente et c'est d'après-moi la fonction la plus importante de l'app. Ça peut devenir un audio player avec toute ma musique dedans. :) |
