Osx Lion And Thunderbolt Questions

So Im thinking about both buying a new macbook and possibly updating my intel imac from snow leopard, but i'm not too sure about a few things...
I know I have to at least wait to upgrade until there is a proper update for my firewire apogee duet, but i'm unsure if lion will support logic 8. also i'd like to know if there is an adapter that can convert firewire 400 to thunderbolt (as it would be very handy to be able to use my duet with a new lappy) and if anybody knows how well lion networks with snow other macs that are running snow leopard. Also has anybody tried running adobe software in lion yet?

As far as I know, Lion doesn't break compatibility with anything. It does drop Rosetta though (the powerPC emulation stuff)
Is Logic 8 still PPC code? Adobe CS5 works great so far. And Thunderbolt 'can' do anything, but it doesn't yet. However, your new mac will still have firewire 800 and there's a cable that goes from 400 to 800, I use it for my MOTU. Also no issues networking SL to Lion.

Don't get Lion. A few of the software I use for work isn't compatible yet and it has slowed down my computer a lot. I'm fucked.

I know freehand MX isn't supported, which is a big disappointment for and any designer who hates adobe's bloated buggy ass software that takes three times as long to do anything...

Logic 8 is apparently not supported and won't even open in lion
for the firewire you can use an 800 to 400 adapter if it's a regular macbook.. the air you are out of luck until adapters come out (it never had firewire before) Lion breaks tons of stuff.. I"m going to install it on an external drive to try it out but not switching for a while nor do I see a need to.

you should use a disk image instead of bootcamp for running windows. My xp image works fine on multiple computers.
