Autechre play live in a Montreal loft in 1993

Hardkiss Brothers from San Francisco 1997, pioneers of breaks and all things funky. They were legendary here in Montreal.

LTJ Bukem at SONA. One of the best DNB shows I ever attended.

LUSH, one of Montreals early early raves, took place in a shopping mall afterhours :)

Megabyte, party I did promo for, amazing lineup, took place in the firestation near McGill on the mountain

Another party I worked on. Ninja Tunes First visit to Montreal, 1997. Took place in the old playground

Old skool flyer from a night I used to do at Passeport on thurdays

See The Light Tour...The only time Aphex Twin and Orbital played Montreal. Best party I ever attended.

Czech first visit to Montreal at the Grill 1999.
I'm feeling sunshine right now..

wha?? Intense and Blame were there too? sick. when was that? 97 or so?

Bukem is an incredible producer and DJ. I don't know what his sets are like now, but way back in the day his sets were phenomenal. deep atmospheric jungle/D&B with lots of fader chopping. and there's not many jungle MCs that I like to hear, but MC Conrad usually did a nice job.

You would have loved this show. Roni Size blew my mind

Lush ticket, "If you love to rave, don't bring booze" lol...

Two more parties I was involved in. The Chemical Brothers at Metroplis

Oldskool montly at Metropolis

Autechre on their second time live in Montreal

Afrika Bambaataa & Green Velvet @ Sona

The Orb live at Metropolis 1993

Quite epic indeed.

Thanks for the memories, I was at quite a few of those events and the memories were buried pretty far :D

The Autechre show was really special, they played most of their stuff from the Incunabula album which to me still remains one the greatest electronic albums of all time.

They were so impressed by this city during their visit that a short while after they wrote a song dedicated to Montreal which really is a beautiful piece of music.

I'm feeling sunshine right now..

Incunabula is hands down my favorite Autechre release. I remember when I first listened to it. Fucking phenomenal.

Amber is great as well. :P

I got to see them play in '07 and it was fucking sweet.

They'll be back, I'm sure. I want Aphex to come down.

But most of all, BOARDS OF CANADA.

*edit*: Actually, everything Autechre has ever put out is great. Haha
I'm feeling x_x right now..

I'd have a hard time choosing a "favorite autechre album". They are all so different and genius.
