R.A.W. was one of the pioneers in the States. Wake Up LA is a great tape. proper 93 hardcore jungle mixed with hip hop on 3 decks. what else you got? the earlier the better.. 92-95 was the real shit. | Coolness: 86500 | no, not graduated quite yet. I'm going to Europe at the beginning of March, so I didn't do any courses this term. I'm gonna visit my sister and my nieces in Germany for a few days.. I'm playing this dub/jungle/breakcore party in Cologne on the 6th, which will be super fun. then I might check Belgium and France if time permits.. not sure yet. then on to England, hook up with some of my jungle crew there. and finally to Ireland and Northern Ireland to visit family.
I can't wait! it's been sooo long since I've been over there. |

I guess I should counter that with one of my all time fav ol skool mixes. By another pioneer of DNB hip hop style Jsmooth. I think hes from Philli. The mix is called Enter the 37th Chamber Jungle Style. Enjoy

I used to have a big box full of crazy mixtapes but a lot got destroyed when out basement flooded, or they broke, or I lent em out, never to be seen again. I used to have some sick pirate radio tapes from London, and I taped DJ Marcus's Prophecy show right when it started.. Spring 95 or so.. where he had dope jungle crews visiting from UK on the show. some really good tapes but they gone now. my friend runs a great site. he's ripped and uploaded a bunch of his classic tapes from back in the day in Toronto - not just jungle, but breakbeat hardcore, acid house, techno, trance, oldskool hip hop, funky breaks, etc. just any dope tapes from the 90s. lots of hard to find stuff [ torontojungletapes.blogspot.com ] here's one..
