E.S.L. Crew at Blizzarts, Millimetrik's record launch Octobre 24, starting at 10:00PM Blizzarts, 3956A St-Laurent, Montreal 0$ FREE, GRATIS A very special edition of the ESL Crew at Blizzarts this month. For this session our guest, Quebec City's very own Millimetrik, will arrive from a tour in Europe promoting his 6th album, "Mystique Drums" just released on Makeminemusic. His visit in Montreal wil give him the occasion to launch this album with us! For those of you not familiar with him, Millimetrik (a.k.a. Pascal Asselin, Pax Kingz and a zillion other projects) has ...released a number of albums to international acclaim. While most of his carreer under this alias has been focused on down tempo, hip-hop infused beats on a back drop of neo-classical tinged ambient textures, Mystique Drums represent as radical departure from those slow terrtories unto more familiar grounds for E.S.L. This new album is filled with future garage beats, springfueld melodic lines, warpped basslines which seems to emerge directly from the UK scene. As Pascal said himself "I don't ever want to have my music associated with winter or darkness again!", we can't agree more!!!!! As usual BUS, Skinny Bones and Sharivari will host the night with the freshest cuts in international bass music. Still no cover!
