Bio RCola: RCola lives in Montreal, Canada and plays a high-energy blend of ragga, jungle and drum 'n bass. After discovering this music on late-night radio, he began producing beats and building his sound. In 2002, he started to DJ as one half of the now-infamous Chopstick Dubplate crew. Three years later he broke out and began touring alone on the strength of his solo productions. RCola est un des artistes du jungle canadien dont les productions tournent en ce moment sur vos platines et font bouger les dancefloors partout en europe et amerique du nord. Well known for his junglized remixes and invigorated vocal rollers, RCola's discography now includes over 25 vinyls & five CDs on labels such as Royal Crown, JungleXpeditions, Wikkid, Humble, Chopstick Dubplate, Jungle Royale, and Intune Ragga Sessions. 20 European countries have been host to RCola's soundsystem throwdowns over the last five years, including shows where he has played alongside Ray Keith, Nicky Blackmarket, Digital, Krak In Dub, Social Security, TeeBee and Remarc in support of his dubwise jungle sound. In North America, he has shared the stage with Marcus Visionary, The Fix, Top Cat, Danny C, NavigatorMC, Capital J, Freaky Flow & Liondub. When he is not on tour or in the studio, RCola operates JungleX, an online Vinyl, CD & MP3 distribution company serving Record Shops in 18 countries worldwide. A sure bet in the montreal dj scene, Bliss has been spinning beats since the age of 14 and is now widely recognized as one of Montreal's most musically versatile djs. For the past 12 years Bliss has consistently rocked the Montreal club circuit, recently mentionned in Nightlife magazine's top 100 of Montrealers that have changed Montreal's nightlife, as well as a top position in the Hours 2006 list of best local djs. He is among other things the co-founder of Montreals first and longest running breaks weekly THE GRILL. as well as being one of the original residents of both the now legendary CHEMISTRY and VOYEUR clubnights. But my man Chris had it locked tonight! Dropping the oldskool chopsticks dubplates 003 and 002 en plus! Glad I made it down. And shit never in my life have I heard such a jump uppy set from the Golgo. Nice up to the ko crew still keepn it! Nice to see a few of the old faces, man where did all this new blood come from? Glad to see jungle still brngs ot the kids! For an oldtimer that doesn't get out much tnight was rock solid. Rawspec! |
