I never got what makes everyone thing Jay-Z is a genius.. The beat is OK, but nothing really special.. His rhymes aren't anything special.. It's like the perfect example of mediocre, un-imaginative flow and beats..
It doesn't inspire me to even bother listening to the lyrics.. He could be giving out the plans to an easy-to-build perpetual motion machine or some deep philosophical lyrics, but he just doesn't grab me and say "Listen, I've got something to say, so you'd better listen!"
but fred, concrete dreams are made of New york? He taught us that right? and now he wants give us financial secrets like how to "double yo stack"...
Ufot-I stopped listening to hip hop when it stopped being good...
I'm feeling happy as a panda with car troubl right now..
beat is annoying at best, the lyrics are wack, like 2006 wack... the video is the only cool thing... and even then, when are peeps guna stop this obsession with frikin dripping paint on everything (not you reg, you have your own style)... soooooo tiresome...
Ufot-uuuhuhh, look at this hot car, I dripped paint all overs it, uuuhuuuhhh
I'm feeling happy as a panda with car troubl right now..
I know I sound like a broken record, but...
Tech N9ne lyrically (flow and content) makes every other rapper sound like they're just learning to speak when they're at their best, and his beats are usually pretty damn good, too.
first time i watched a Jay-Z video until the end
the video was alright, nothing new, but really well done
personnaly i liked the dripping paint, even though i see it often, it's something that I don't get tired of
heaheha weird ppl hate it ! it was one of the first track i actually liked on the album! btw the beat was made by SWIZZ BEATS ! even if you hate that style you cant argue the fact that he is one of the richest guy producing beat out there! I want a LAMBO TOO :(
heaheah joke asides

The 2nd video isn't too bad, Brother Ali has some sick flows..
The third video is ok, but he's obviously a battle MC.. The other guy Slug sounds a little better, he's not all "I'm the best, everyone else sucks" even when he's doing the battle-type lyrics, he sounds more like he's singing instead of talking and straining to find words that rhyme..
The first video though sounds like some kid's first tape in his basement.. Winning battles doesn't mean you've got good lyrical skills, it means you can hype a crowd live.. The lyrics aren't bad but the delivery sounds totally amateur, like literally just someone talking to the beat, not actually rapping..
That Eyedea guy might win battles, but mehh, doesn't mean he can write songs or rap well.. songs/albums and freestyle/battle-style MCing are two totally different things.. I find that even the best of the best battle MCs can't actually write a song or do anything that doesn't sound like an angry 16 year old in his mom's basement with a karaoke machine..
