i worked for these guys quite a bit, they pay 8 cents a door for us to distribute to a couple of different terretories, longueil, laval etc, and they fit a half dozen to a dozen different adverts on the flyer. 1250 doors, 100 bucks for distributers.. I can envision the back end of the cash flow..

Been thinking about using them as a means to speed the word of the upcoming events list as well as a few key stores and websites all in one advert...

Think its a good idea, covering a single run, consisting of the next 6 months events, dates, times, web addresses and such.. split cost... more in, less out.

Heres their site, Ive worked for Costa and Gordon and they both pay prompt and treat the employees well, are very tight when it comes to logistics etc. Good guys, smart business...

the idea of outsourcing the promotion for a party might not be so bad! im just not sure about hanging flyers on people doorknobs... i mean you have to target your audience this is pure suicide if the event is borderline legit!
I'm feeling analyzing charts right now..

feel for the idea... rubb off the rough edges...

P.R. is P.R. word of mouth is one thing.. I been in the scene a while and watched, imagine doing one big coverage of area.. every single door. Grand Parents might have grand children... cousins.. friends.. etc.

Cops know where this website is, makes no difference sending out a list of party names and dates and a few web addresses, aint gonna stop the venues from showing the address 24 in advance same as always, cops know how to call info lines. We're relatively fortunate to have wise individuals throwing events and well mannered individuals who speak authority subserviance when necessary, I figure that the subdivided cost of a simple, well made collaborative advert, holding the bare essentials for as many people as possible...

hmmm

spamming is annoying. plus you've got the other angle that all that paper being used is wasteful, plus, as the man said, you never know who you might be targeting

but the bottom line is - spam is annoying.

maybe you could get this guy to do the flyering...

smallest size= business card.. 3 cents each at 10,000
next size double business card 5.5 cents each at ten thousand

price drops slightly as numbers of doors increase.
territory is 60 thousand doors on south shore
and more than that on north shore.

sooo
300$ X 6 = 1800 divided cost amongst say... 45 people....

40 bucks each? for the south shore

to promote a half dozen stores and every upcoming rave for the next 7 months

from sixty thousand if we introduce 600 new people we're making this worth it
