Hi All, just to let the dj's and whoever else wants, that the audio video repair shop next door to my work, fixed my damaged turntable phono wire for 50$. The wire was 10$ and labor was 30$ now the turntable works like out of the box brand new.....No hum's no hiss nothing stops and starts on a dime they also cleaned it as well..I plan on bringing my other turntable for a cleaning!

To anyone who wants more info PM me and i will give u the number and address of the repair shop. They fix also fix t.v's and any audio equipment u want stereo's and such.....Let me know , it was a good find for me cause i didn't have 200$ to go to Solotech!
I'm feeling engaged right now..

yeah. definitely good to know. some places do a crap job and if you are bringing your babies to a repair shop you wanna know they're in good hands

in Toronto the place Play De Record contracted out to do repairs was horrible. which is surprising cuz Play De is awesome and run by very solid people. I don't know why they use these guys.

I brought my two 1200s in to get the tonearms replaced. a week later, they get dropped off at Play De... the one tonearm was replaced but was super jiggly and wobbly.. very loose. the other one, instead of replacing the tonearm, they replaced the RCA cables (which were working fine), and left the old defective tonearm on.

they did such a shit-ass job "repairing" them it was almost comical

the 10$ was for the wire the 30 was for the technician's time plus taxes and i gave them 50 and told the technician to keep the change....so in all it came up to about 46 bucks and gave the technician 4 bucks!

u tell these guys to replace the wire that is what they do,( but i am not sure if they can do other work on the turntable, they r audio visual peeps but rewiring i am sure they can hook u up) they don't fuck around with anything else! My baby at home is working like new man, like out of the box new i am so very happy with the work!

i always forget that taxes are secretly hidden until you have to actually pay, in north america...
