 Coolness: 248400 | They were not bad at all Alex.The thing is,people at picnik were all crinked up when bliss played.IT was good stuff! Everyone was dancing and having a good time.But then they start and 70% of the crowd stopped dancing ( you guyz can say what you want,i was in the back and had a pretty amazing view of the dancefloor and i don't even exagerate).They were people in the front who went to hear them who were enjoying it like me, but i saw a lotttttt of people just quitting after 30 min. of their set ..What i think,i can be wrong,but, this style of music should have been earlier in the day.like in the afternoon while people are just having fun and start arriving.I know you can't do that ,cuz they were the invited artist,but putting Electro/hip hop at the end after a banging set from bliss was like..ehhhhhhh.I really like their stuff and danced ,i'm only saying Picnik wasn't maybe the best place for that type of music.The average of people there are clubbers who go to Circus and Bal en Blanc.I wasn't surprise people didn't dig it.
As for my opinion of the music,i found Alix pretty bad.Like ....really really bad.I was glad when bliss starts. |

 Coolness: 36635 | Bliss was on frickin fire! Big ups dude! I'll send you the vids soon. I also really enjoyed The Glitch Mob. They kept me moving until the end. People were actually yelling for an encore so what does that say?
Anyways, Piknic is always a blast and I will keep going as long as they keep diversifying the music types. SUMMER IN THE CITY! |

I have to point out that pompes tes pipes played such a crazy good set... its kinda too bad that they played so early though! Those guys were putting out so much energy into their shit even when there was only two of us on the dancefloor at 14h30! And it paid off cuz I aint ever seen so many people get into it so early if you didnt get to hear what they did, do check out the podcast, seriously! its fucking... advanced ableton mixing with layers of live shit going on... cant wait for the next pompes tes pipes event |

| Coolness: 129695 | yeah Pompe Tes Pipes are great, Funky Falz actually jumped back on after the Glitch Mob and rocked some more beats. He's also the stage technician for all the Picnik events so make sure you give him props when you see him, he really does an amazing job.
I liked Alixs set too, always a pleasure working with her, she had the crowd dancing so she must have been doing something right :) Personally I had a wicked time and it was great to see so many of my friends partying it up and having fun & Cheers to Beastieboxer, you're the life of the party my brother :) |

Pour les Glitch Mob, bin je suis aussi mitigé... leur musique c'est de la bombe, cest du live et oui, ils ont des lemurs [ www.jazzmutant.com ] pour leur set, mais j'ai l'impression que sont tellement rodés qu'ils font toujours le meme set. Je suis allé les voir 2 semaines avant et ca ressemblait pas mal a ce que j'ai entendu au Piknic. Sont juste rendu 3 aussi, Kraddy ayant quitté le crew, ce qui peut avoir changé de quoi dans la dynamique. anyways! C'était le premier vrai piknic de l'été! yeah! |
