 Coolness: 93485 | Tough PLUR then is an expression used when someone treats another raver in an un-PLUR-ish fashion in with the intent of facilitating a PLUR outcome in the long run. In most uses, there must be some actual PLUR motives behind the un-PLUR actions to be defined as tough PLUR.
For example, genuinely concerned ravers refusing to give a bump of meth to a fucked up raver until he or she has sufficiently come down, is said to be practicing tough plur. This is because even though sharing is a very peaceful or loving action in the short run, ensuring that they don't overdose is, in the longrun, a more PLUR action (Respecting life and Loving friends). An over-age raver refusing to fuck a horny 14 y/o thats chewing her face off in the corner high on a E combo is also said to be practising tough PLUR. It is true that choosing to fuck the 14 y/o represents the "L (LOVE)" in PLUR in the short run. However, in the long run, all the letters of PLUR are better represented by not fucking the girl. Its respectful not to fuck people who are too high to be in control of their actions. It is also a very loving gesture not to fuck someone because you are concerned about the effect of fucking on their long term mental state. Not fucking them also reduces potential drama which, of course, speaks towards the P (peace) and U (unity). |

The way I understand it, fucking a 14 y/o is very PLUR for the reason u just mentioned, and because your totally loving her (L in PLUR). However, when she/he is high on drugs and has little control over her body, fucking them becomes a greyer area. Choosing to fuck them is obviously still PLUR. But choosing not to fuck them might be more PLUR. Its quite a revolutionary concept. Thats why I started this thread. Just asking. I dunno. I think PLUR is like Kandi and Kandi Kids in the sense that the older the better. I think PLUR is an awesome concept for older ravers to have. If you think about it, if older ravers still subscribe to PLUR, it must be one hell of a concept. Like for instance take this guy. Being a kandi kid must have been totally cute and cool when he was 14. But now that hes in his late 20s, it makes him look like even more hardcore and legit raver.  |
