you know when you're writing something logicalally and you go "..." instead of using a "." or a ","
ex) I like bananas...but like raspberries more. Heres the problem. What if someone hurt them selves, and I want to say "awww" followed by "..." ex) [ www...that ] sucks. I hope you feel better soon
I'm feeling apathetic right now.. |

it's not the three dots that's the problem, just putting one dot after three W's, or a dot before anything that has CA or COM (and possibly others like INFO or NET or EDU) will result in the same thing..
[ www.. ] .Education [ .Com ] [ .Ca ] [ .Info ] it IS something pretty anoying... shouldn't really happen.. maybe just shorten URLs if they specifically start with HTTP..

i like how the system shortens links too, but sometimes I just want to copy a youtube link that has been posted, but it will only copy [ youtube.com ] and not all the residuals

well, I just tried it in Opera and Firefox and it works fine.. Not gonna bother with trying in in IE since you're not a total noob and I have no idea how it works in Chrome because I'm pretty damn pleased with Opera and see no need in beta-testing a browser I'm not going to use anyways..
So either something is wrong with your computer, or the error exists between the keyboard and the chair

could be a safari issue....but since i rarely use anything else, i will just work around it.
weird, it happened yesterday, i right clicked copy link and pasted it into a msn convo, and it only pasted [ youtube.com ] just re-tested, and it is fine, so alas you are right the problem clearly lies between the keyboard and the floor

Bug Tracker - PARSER PICKS UP MISC TEXT AS ADDRESSES Submited By: » cutterhead Open Date: 2009-04-28 00:25:09 Category: Addition Idea Summary: PARSER PICKS UP MISC TEXT AS ADDRESSES Priority: 0 Status: Open Reopen: To reopen this closed bug please post a comment on why you would want it reopened and then an option to open it will appear. Description: if you type in the forum " rumble ... rumble ... rumble ... " < but without the spaces comes out as a link " [ [ rumble.ru ] ] " < and here i just quoted a quote and it added an other set of [ ] custom parsers suck what the hell are you using for parsing ? this is way out of scope. Assigned To: » Nuclear my advise would be to only use the [ ] to be recognised as quote and use "readline" or something to parse it or consider field as text and use a simple character ruleset parser for the whats in [ ] and leave all "'/ etc to be treated as text (ie dont specify the one to be ruled ou by hand ill give you results like what we have rite now) anyhow some re-parse is in action and its going out of scope. Update » cutterhead wrote on Sun May 3, 2009 @ 12:55am what i find funny . is thats a security feature to prevent cyclic / redundant posting that cause this.
