i went to UdeM in a environmental colloquy.
They just affirmed the news I saw on TLC and LCN.

Asians food is base on 75% of see product.
Remember finding Nemo :

the biggest to got caught weight 400 pounds!
those jellyfish come to the surface once a year to ''copulate
nature is well done. That way, 10% of ovules can be resulting in a match.

Asians have been fishing them by mistake, killing them all in their nets then they reject them in the sea. result: at the bottom sea a 100% orgy was created. Jellyfish population grew 800% since 1995!

terror. Jellyfish also live in ''dead-zone'' (there's 7 of these in the sea actually, they are a total empty sea land, nothing at all live there 'cuz of polution); so those zone are growing bigger and bigger.

Scientist suggest to put net all around but geologist noticed that dead zone are used by over 40% of the sea creatures, not living there but passing thru. Putting net will destroy even faster the bio-diversity.

Trainwreck, total trainwreck.

second chaotic mechanics.
the deadly jellyfish.

those bastard are 2cm long, almost invisible to the eyes.
They called them ''the chaotic engine''.
those are to be the strongest shit on the planet.

Each of those fucker contain the FOUR venom type humans knows
-bodies parts touched disintegrates into a fuckin blob
-your nerves are touched so you jam like a cpu crashin/spasms
-your heart stop beating
- i just totaly forget the fourth one

but anyway, no other living thing have more than 1 of these toxin.
they reported stings of those wankers all over the world. The web is not so inform about it on the moment. In the colloquy, some suggest gouvernement prevent this infos to reach public grasp. But anyway.

jellyfish way of reproduction is a big ? to scientific. When the sperm reach into the egg, it goes down to the bottom of the sea creating a ,'genre'' of plant then several weeks later a sporte come out of it. Like some sort of ''butterfly''- very fuckin strange.

it's not quite the same reportage but it got some good infos about it.

anyway, on calculation (if asians stop RIGHT now to put them back in the sea - won't happen) see bio-diversity will diseaper before 2040.

On another side Hubert reeves told about micro-particulars created by pollution.
A orange sky smelling shit + a sea dangerous as hell full of those aliens looking shit.

Jellyfish don't have specialized digestive, osmoregulatory, central nervous, respiratory, or circulatory systems. They digest using the gastrodermal lining of the gastrovascular cavity, where nutrients are absorbed

prolly explain the toxicity.

meanwhile i wanna eat this

this could be a solution to world hunger considering

Jellyfish are most likely to stay in blooms that are quite large and can reach up to 100,000 in just 1 bloom.

>Fresh water should not be used if the sting occurred in salt water, as a change in Tonicity[20]can cause the release of additional venom

ya it's a cool vid of the turtle snacking on the jellyfish - I didnt realize the vid couldn't be embedded

I liked this one better, though, that I saw right after.

they attach a temporary turtle-cam to the shell of a sea turtle, so they can see what it's diet is like

skip through the first 3 minutes or so - they dont attach the cam till later in the clip - but it's really cool footage

it just swims around and nabs a couple jellies on the way

but the part I liked is around 5:00 in, when it meets another turtle. they seem like they have a very laidback lifestyle =)
