i love it and if i had anything to criticize about id say you should re-work the first transition between the main part and in the intro! its a lil confusing and it happens too fast you should tease a little bit more! you give up too fast but everythin else is perfect!

you could maybe silence the whole thing and make the vocal progess in a roll like you did but longer a few more bars just to prepare da dancing crowd to your massive vibes :D

the snare is incredible i love how dirty it sounds :D

good job :D
you made me wanna do a remix today so that cant be wrong ! big up bro
I'm feeling failling pailing right now..

thanks man, and yea, it comes in way too fast, and i didnt even cut out the original wav at the end.

i definately gave up too fast on it, but i was just trying to make it playable for sumone in a rush, and that's what i got as my "finished" version for him.

also, my FL studio doesnt allow me to export to mp3 anymore for sum reason, so i export it to wav, then open it in audition, and the best quality it spits it out as is 128 kbps, so annoying...

anyways, im werkin on it!

In the options for Audition you can chose your MP3 quality.. don't remember where exactly, but it's there.

yea you would imagine eh hehehe, if i dont figure it out tonight im just gonna re-install wavelab.

but for now when i try to convert into mp3, the settings are on "999 best quality" and "32 bit" yet sumhow that equals to 128 kbps. i'll re check all the options!

I think you've got something wrong somewhere, MP3 only goes in increments up to 320.. 112, 128, 160, 192, 256, 320... there's not 999 Best Quality option.. Best Quality might come with making it a VBR mp3, but it still seems kinda odd.. I'm gonna reinstall audacity to check things out.

*edit*

in the File Quality tab of Edit -> Preferences

you need the LAME library installed (which you can find instructions for how to do that/where to get it on Audacity's page)

well these are the steps i take when trying to save a wav into an mp3....

1. open the wav
2. File/save as
3. i choose the file name, then under "save as file type" i select "mp3PRO(FHG)(*.mp3)" out of the list (the only mp3 one)
4. i then click SAVE

ah shit, fuck this, i just noticed a little box on the bottom "options" that allows me to change the 128 to 320.....

yay!

thanks for making me want to review the process in detail!

hehe np!

Don't go with the MP3 Pro codec, though, it's not as good as the actually MP3 codec! MP3 Pro was an attempt at making higher-quality MP3s, but it totally didn't work out as intended and, while it does make good/ok MP3s, the quality isn't on-par with the actual real LAME encoder..

hmm, this is kaka, even with the found "320 kbps" option, it still says the original wav isnt compatible with the current sample rate, and bit depth, so it asks me to match it, then when i click yes, it saves the mp3, and when i check later on my desktop, its still listed as 128 kbps..... fuckin audition.

i think im just gonna go back with wavelab, never had any problems in the past with that one.

that's odd.. Might have to do with how you're exporting with Fruity.. You shouldn't be using a sample rate other than 44100Hz when you export..

If something is still fucking up, then try saving it as a Wave in Audacity and make sure in Edit -> Options, the File Format tab has it set to WAV (Microsoft 16-bit PCM) ((like on the screenshot I have posted)) and in the Quality tab make sure it's at 44100Hz
Update » Screwhead wrote on Sat Jan 31, 2009 @ 3:43am
From the sound of what you're saying, though, you probably have your sample rate in Fruity set to something it shouldn't be set to..

Press F10 and go to the Audio box, on the right it should have a little box that says Mixer.. It should be set to Sample Rate: 44100Hz, any setting for the Interpolation (but the 6-point one is really all you should use unless you've got a super-computer from the year 2099)

wow, this just keeps getting weirder and weirder...

so i went into fruity, and sure enough, my sample rate was at 9600, so i changed it, and to the 6-point, and changed my driver also, cuz the one i had for the 9600, just wasnt having the 44100...

anyways, with those settings, i was able to export a 320 mp3, straight from fruity...

old one at 128 was 6.9mbs, and the new one at 320 is 16.7 mbs....

everything looks right, but when i played them both in my media player, to hear the difference,
i found that they both sounded exactly the same.........

now what am i not doing right??? lol

ok here's the link to the 128kbps version which is 6mbs [ www.sendspace.com ]
and here's the link to the 320kbps version which is 16mbs [ www.sendspace.com ]

you be the judge, but as far as my sony headphones tell me, i dont really hear any noticable differences...
Update » Choda_Bean wrote on Sat Jan 31, 2009 @ 4:47am
oh and dont mind the title of the 128 version (its titled as 320)
Update » Choda_Bean wrote on Sat Jan 31, 2009 @ 4:58am

ScottyP did the comparison between MP3s and OGG a while back, and it's got a 128 and a 320 MP3 in it..

Pretty much the more green and the more intense it is, the more frequencies are being reproduced.. you'll notice the difference between 128 and everything else right away..

Nice work D!! I have the accapella of this on vinyl and never tryed RMXing (Just mixing it over D&B) I might just try my hand at it when I get a chance. No wonder this tune was a hit that white boy sure can jahfakeit. I would turn up the vocals in the mix just a tad.

If you have to play CDS or with FS please play WAVs as even 320s sound really wonky at a hight volume.
