 Coolness: 30295 | For those who haven't noticed, we like kikkin it old school... the goal of our Revival nights is to bring Montreal techno back to its roots. We aim to reunite the true tech-junkies with a sound that seems to have been watered down over the past few years, all while keeping in step with the advances of electronic music.
in other words... is Pik-niks selection a bit to bubbly for you? did your party career start in an abandoned warehouse? looking for something a bit darker to groove to? do you love dirty driving beats, but can do without the "boobies boobies,party party" lyrics the dyke bars cant seem to get enough of? do you miss Sona as much as we do?.. if you answered yes to any of the above questions, you'll soon know where to find us. Revival nights 3rd edition.. this month starring: Philgood (inbeat records) Miss Bijoux (France) Mono-Poly (Eresys / Glocosamix) Not to mention that this is THE LAUNCH PARTY FOR LEVEL 4 DIGITAL! (thats right, level 4 goodness now on Beatport). SO with that in mind this weeks broadcast of "The 4th Level" on techno.fm will be broadcast live from the event. 9-11pm E.S.T - featuring: Dj Kidstatik aka Tony Roma Dj Sarcastic Dj Destro aka Marshall D this months edition will be held at Stereobar 858 St Catherine East 2 beers for 6$ all night. 10$ @ the door 5$ in advance on the guest(msg NoiseFloor) p.s. no offense to piknik or dyke bars... the Noisefloor family can often be found at any of these places throwin down. |

This weekend will be an emotionally farewell for us all in what has been a labour of love for me these past 6 years - Stereobar. Please join myself and the rest of the crew in one last cold beer as we say goodbye to this little gem that has seen some of my favourite DJs like Desyn Masiello, David Morales, Behrouz, Lee Burridge, Victor Calederone, Jimmy Van M etc etc etc drop some amazing beats. (Not to mention everyone from D-Formation, Chus & Ceballos, Dave Seaman, Sander Kleinenberg getting their drink on!) Friday night will be our last techno, tech, minimal night with Techno.FM and friends. Thanks Alex!!! Saturday night Danny Torrence will finish things off with good friend Samer K. The bar has had a run of over 8 years now, which is at least 5 more then most ever make it, and its time for something different. I hope everyone can come say goodbye as it will be one of the last times to see me before the holidays and the BPM Festival in Mexico. Warmest regards, Scotty |
