| the age of consent in canada is 14.. I mean if I was 19 and the girl was 17 I don't see how that could be illegal unless I was in a position of power |
|
Coolness: 276545
| 14?!... Yea but it still needs consent. |

| The age of consent is 14 and there can be no more than 4 years age diffrence between the minor and the adult. Also, at any point, the parents may decide that the "adult" is influencing the child in a way that makes them rebell agains the will of the parents and have the adult arested as if it were a non-consenting relationship. |

| Ther is actually no law saying that the person can only be 4 years older...i dont know why people think [ that...com ] misconception. But anyways, the legal age for sex is 14 unless the older party is in a position of power and trust.
So all you 14 year olds feel free to email me ;) |

| It's been an issue for me in the past. Trust me on this. There can only be a 4 year age diffrence, and even if it's less than 4, the parents at any point in time can decide to take legal action if they believe that their child is being "led astray", in which case no matter who consented to what, it's considered null and void and the "adult" is considered to have gone against the consent of the "child". |

| I dont know where you get your information but im sure its not correct...I am currently a law student and work in a law firm...weve dealt with this subject before...the truth of the matter is that the law on this subject is merkey at best so you could never be prosecuted succesfully...that is if you have a good lawyer |
