I'm looking to get a semi-decent sound card for my PC, but i havent been in the industry in a few years. I used to use a dalta 44, but i really hate m-audio's drivers, and just the functionality of the card doesn't do it for me. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions for an alternative? I was looking at the focurite saffire le [ www.moogaudio.com ] I know the brand as I've used their hardware, but i don't know how well they do software etc.
I'm feeling gettin more ink soon right now..

I've had to reinstall/rollback more often than i can count and i just don't really dig their mixer.

I'm just looking for something around 4 analogue inputs, 1 stereo input and 6-8 out (2 xlr would be cool). Budgets roughly $300

I had an mBox-2, it was OK but nothing compared to Motu's and the likes.

If 300$ is your range, it's looking like m-audio might be one of your only choices, unless you're buying used on eBay....ideally you should go for something like this, I was turned onto this one not long ago...only exception is that they cost close to 1500$ new and like 1299$ used. :/

Not an interface. DSP unit only.

Wanna see a kick-ass interface?

shazaam!

Lots of I/O, on-board plugins that makes Waves plugin sound like shite, even better converters than RME.
I'm feeling hung to the over right now..

FireWire interface designed specifically for the Macintosh.

The 2882 was the first Mac-only FireWire interface...
