Fake $5 Bills Going Around..

 Coolness: 685715 | be on the lookout when you get some change, I've got a friend that was given two fake fives in the past two days, one of them from an SAQ!
The fakes are slightly shorter, and missing all of the security features, but other than that, the paper texture and style is perfect!

| Coolness: 685715 | man, the fake that's scanned came from an SAQ.. If the govt. funded establishments that are always on the lookout for fakes didn't notice.. Aparently you really can't tell, the paper texture and everything is flawless, it's just the missing security hologram things and the tiny shortness that gives it away.. |

 Coolness: 85060 | It's not a question of a govt. place not checking, NO ONE checks 5's. SAQ has a black light for 50's and 100's, but i dont think 5's have the same effect on them. |

 Coolness: 248550 | yup all summer it was like that on the boat.I can say 1/10 of the 5$ bill were fake and people were pretty surprise when i told them i don't accept fake money.Especially for the tourists taht doesn't really know our money well,it's easy to receive a fake bill.As i am always in contact with money ,the toutching is different ( like an old 5 who pass in the dryer) but really 2-3 mm shorter than the real one.Be careful! |

They are usualy pretty quick to stuff the cash in there pockets and pass it on to the next sucker. The only time i was ever caught with a fake 5, was when my dealer that passed one to me and its a cashier at couche tard that noticed it. |

 Coolness: 88765 | Easiest way to tell is the watermark 5 that doesnt appear. Even the older versions of the 5 had the half "5" on one side and the other half on the other.
Size is tough unless you are holding another bill with it. |

Fred,i got one at saph thursdays,yes they look really real,but if you toutch the bottom left corner,it's not the same texture .The hologram isn't perfect eighter.But like i said i toutch money everyday.For a normal consumer it's really easy to get caught.The color too,it'S not exactly the same tint. |
