WOW!!!!

Thats nuts...when I was a kid I was a huge fan of doctor who, I think I pretty much watched all of the episodes that used to air on vermont public television and cbc, from the first doctor to the last... I was always fascinated with the doctor who theme, it captured my imagination because it was like a haunting electronic calidoscope of sound, a pulsing rhythmic orchestra, ultimate kool... up and until today, I didnt even know her name, but thats some seriously dope shit, she was obviously from the future ;p

one of my all time favorite mixes ever, Coldcuts 70mins of madness mix from the wheels of steel show, has a mix`d in version of the doctor who theme song, I think the second or third to last tune....

Ufot=timeless presence through 9 doctors
I'm feeling lies wif da hax!! right now..

Delia Derbyshire didn't actually compose the Dr. Who theme, but she did do all the synth work on it. Rephlex put out a 4x10" set of BBC Radiophonic Workshop material a few years back, it includes a full record of Derbyshire's experiments... she also worked with a group called The White Noise (with David Vorhaus). Their first album, An Electric Storm, is phenomenally weird and good.
I'm feeling new records right now..
