 Coolness: 200585 | I need to get from Guy/St Catherine to Van Horne/Decarie tomorrow but I don't want to bike all the way up Victoria cause it's steep as hell. I'm not really familiar with that part of town. Can anyone recommend a route that'll be a little easier on me? |

 Coolness: 150515 | I'll try and make myself useful by suggesting that you take Sherbrooke St. west until Girouard, and take that north until it hits Van-Horn. If I'm not mistaken, it's not nearly as steep as anything between Victoria and Decaire Blvd, and you might even find yourself cruising a bit downhill.

Indeed. You should get better weed, IHMO. Although it's true that cars don't own the road, it certainly doesn't belong to cyclists or pedestrians either. It's a SHARED space, remember ? I can't count the number of times I've seen cyclists go through red lights at full speed. That's a fucking death wish if you ask me. And I've seen dickwads try to pull this off, get almost run over and start insulting the car's driver as if it was THEIR fault. Stupid people are everywhere. Behind steering wheels, on bicyles and just plain walking around. It's not just a " car driver " thing. As for bus drivers, they certainly ain't rich. If they were, they wouldn't be driving buses full of people that look at them with resentment and contempt, they'd be driving their shiny new silver mercedes-benz, trying to run over cyclists everywhere. :) |
