meant to ask this too. me and a couple people were discussing curry the other day and I realized how long it's been since I've been out to a curry house

any recommendations?

The last time I had really good Indian food was when I was in the UK... tried a few places here and was horribly disappointed. Consequently I've begun making my own... and came up with a seitan vindaloo that's hotter than just about anything I've ever encountered in a curry house.

ya man! England has amazing Indian restaurants.

my family lived in Bradford and Leicester for a few years right before I was born, and there was cheap Curry Houses everywhere. while they lived there my mom learned to make the best Indian food. all my life, at least once a week, we'd have these elaborate curry dinners, so I've been really spoiled by her cooking =) =)

this weekend I gotta find a place

Definately Atma on St-Laurent. The best Indian I've had in Montreal, and I'm really picky. the decor is quite nice as well and you can sit on the floor...

Yeah I think the only time I had Indian in Mtl was at Atma. Pretty good and not pricey IIRC.

But thanks for the thread, tons of restaurants to try out, and some of 'em are dirt close to my place :)
I'm feeling teh peace (^^)y right now..
