 Coolness: 145225 | this is an awesome pbs documentary on the oil industry, it's based on the 1991 book by Daniel Yergin called 'the prize, the epic quest for oil, money and power." The documentary was made in 1993, so it's a little dated but still really interesting, it follows the oil industry from it's humble beginings in 1850 on one creak in Pennsylvania and the search for asceteline lamp fuel, to the dizzying heights of multi national mega corperations in contemporary times, effecting the foreign policy of the United States and other western countries. It's eight parts of about 50 mins narrated by Donald Sutherland.
