PONG + physics 101 + LSD

plasma pong is a variation of PONG that utilizes real-time fluid dynamics to drive the game environment. Players have several new abilities that add fun twists to the classic game. In the game you can inject plasma fluid into the environment, create a vacuum from your paddle, and blast shockwaves into the playing area. All these abilities have fluid-based kinetic effects on the ball, making Plasma Pong a fast-paced and exciting game.

arrrggg.. the game is down from its author site because of some stupid trademark infringement. jeesh. please, please someone tell a moohk where to find a mac version...

i know it is freeware, but i can't find it, because atari has some greedy lawyers on attack.

..."The Plasma Pong website is currently down, and development of the game has been halted. The message on the front page would suggest that this has been done at the request of Atari, the holder of the Pong trademark..." blah blah blah

i've been searching, but i can only find a windows version. oh well, better than nothing. i'm just hoping someone here can do better than that...

thanks flo!! you're the best. but the link was broke.

i tried emailing the game designer, stephen d taylor, directly, and this is what he wrote back:

Hey Moohk,

Thanks for the email!! I still plan on having Plasma Pong relaunch in some form! If you want to check out the mac version, try googling "PlasmaPongX13_X86.dmg" for x86 or "PlasmaPongX13_PPC.dmg" for PowerPC. Hope this helps!!

Thanks,
Steve

then i finally got it here!!: [ games.internode.on.net ]

....more plasma!! more plasma!!!..

Enigmo 2 is a 3D puzzle game where you construct mechanisms to direct lasers, plasma, and water to toggle switches, deactivate force-fields, and eventually get them to their final destination. The original Enigmo was the most unique game that Pangea Software ever created, and Enigmo 2 takes the concept to a whole new dimension with much more complex environments and all-new devices.

In addition to the 50 levels that come with Enigmo, there is also a built-in level editor which allows you to create your own games that you can share with friends or post on the web for the world to play.
