For get this "showing good behavior in court"..
[ www.newsique.com ] Paris Hilton will serve just over half of her 45-day jail sentence after authorities reviewed her case Wednesday and also decided to separate the hotel heiress from the general inmate population.
Hilton will spend about 23 days in a "special needs housing unit" at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said. The sentence was shortened after jail officials gave Hilton credit for good behavior, citing her recent court appearance among other factors, Whitmore said. Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said. "She may or may not have a cellmate," Whitmore said. Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said. The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to jail earlier this month for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to jail by June 5. Hilton initially called the sentence unfair, and lawyers representing her in the probation hearing said they will appeal the sentence. It was unclear whether she intends to move forward with the appeal. Last week, Hilton said in a statement released by her new attorney that she was "ready to face the consequences of violating probation." A call to her lawyer, DUI specialist Richard Hutton, was not immediately returned. Her publicist, Elliot Mintz, declined comment.

If I were facing the same charges, I'd be asking myself how come I didn't get half of my sentence removed for simply showing up to court, shutting up, and letting my lawyer do all the talking. |

With any luck she'll still get bitch slapped a few times in jail, although realistically she's going to be sent to a minimum security prison that resembles a five star holiday resort out in sunny california.

+2pts for me not reading any of the article outside of the title.
Well, that sounds about on par. 50% time, and in a cell reserved for celebrities. If you have money, you get special treatment from normal people in the eyes of the law. Rad.

I think it was more like wishful thinking.
Real jail would probably do her some good. Or at least get her to shut up for a while.
