Probability Theory

If an infinite number of rednecks riding in an infinite number of pickup trucks fire an infinite number of shotgun rounds at an infinite number of highway signs, they will eventually produce all the world's great litery works in Braille.

Bio-Mechanics

Why Yawning is Contagious: You yawn to equalize the pressure on your eardrums. The resulting pressure change outside your eardrums unbalances other people's ear pressures, so they then yawn to even it out.

Symbolic Logic

Communist China is technologically underdeveloped because it has no alphabet. Therefore the Chinese cannot use acronyms to communicate technical ideas at a faster rate.

Newtonian Mechanics

The earth may spin faster on its axis due to deforestation. Just as a figure skater's rate of spin increases when the arms are brought in close to the body, cutting tall trees may cause our planet to spin dangerously fast.

Linguistics

The quantity of consonants in the English language is constant. If ommitted in one place, they turn up an another. When A Bostonian "pahks his cah," the lost R's migrate southwest, causing Texans to "warsh" their car and to invest in "erl" wells.

Perpetual Motion

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet. When toast is dropped, it always lands buttered side down. It was proposed to strap giant slabs of hot buttered toast to the back of hundred of tethered cats. The two opposing forces will cause the cats to hover, spinning inches above the ground. Using the giant butterd toast/cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

actually yawning is to get more air in your lungs, it normally happens when your brain isn't getting enough oxygen, so your body reacts.. and when you yawn you inhale quite a bit more then usual..

equalizing your ear pressure is a side effect.

yawning is lack of oxygen to the brain, and hiccuping is like lack of breath, so i dont get when ppl say hold ur breath when u have hiccups, ur really supposed to breathe deeply

-------->altering perception alters the claims reality makes on you
