| When was the last time you used a cellphone for more than 2 years.. ? EVERYONE buys a new cellphone every 2-3 years. I've got only friend who kept a phone for longer, he had a nokia for 5 years and i can tell you it looked fucking terrible, the face-plate came off and there were literally wires sticking out.
The replacing of the battery thing is so damn lame when it comes to people complaining about the ipod. |

I've got only friend who kept a phone for longer, he had a nokia for 5 years and i can tell you it looked fucking terrible, the face-plate came off and there were literally wires sticking out.
I had my first phone for 6 years. The 2nd phone I had I only kept for 2 years, but it's more of an issue with fido's service. When they switched over to Rogers' network, my phone kept losing it's signal and not telling me. Every time I'd make a call, after I hung up I wasn't connected to the network anymore but still showing bars, and it would do the same thing just at random intervals. They even told me when I called Fido that that phone wasn't a suported model anymore so there was nothing they could do. |

| When cellphones and computers start to merge, you can't expect it to last half a decade any more than you can expect your computer to be 'up to date' for that length of time. |

| What needs to be "up to date" on a phone? As long as it can call people, you don't need any more than that. If I want a PDA, I'll get one. If I want an MP3 player, I'll get one. If I want to take pictures or video, I'll get the proper gear for it and not some crapy 240x480 2.1mp pictures or shitty webcam-quality video.
The problem is people are too easily swayed into thinking that they need the latest gadget that just combines a bunch of half-assed products into one flimsy and disposable gadget that costs 3-600$. |
