Bike Courier Down.....

 Coolness: 238625 | Today one of my fellow bike couriers Claude was broadsided by a car on René Lévesque & Guy. Now @ this time the traffic lights where down from Guy on wards. Police where called into direct traffic. From reports she bounced off the hood and windshield. She was taken the general, which is the same place they took me. From reports she has a bad concussion and cuts to her head & face. Nothing broken which is a good thing. I saw her bike @ the office and she is one lucky woman.
So the point of all this is folks that drive please be careful. Thank you |

 Coolness: 49660 | Having joined the cyborg club myself lately ( broke my leg walking down the street on a freeak accident, got a plate and 5 screw inplanted into my leg ), i can safely say that staying at the hospital for any kind of serious accident sucks. Plus, some of the nurses on the 12th floor ( trauma floor) are pure fucking evil. |

 Coolness: 152515 | Working in front of Renée Levesque and Mansfield all day has led me to conclude that bikers have half the fault.
I'm not a motorist or a courrier, just a guy who's job makes him spend 8 hours a day in front of the street, looking at them go by. And Lee your talking about ppl in a rush????? fucking courriers swirving all over the place not looking where they're going, cutting off traffic. The rest of the bikers are pure cordiality. But courriers are a real pain for circulation. There's the obvious car running red light syndrom, and most of the major accidents are caused by unruly motorists, that I have to admit. But that little game of "pour courrier" is pure bullshit. It's the risk of the game when you get on a bike to roll on roads that have cars on them... Which leads to: Why aren't there more bike paths. Much needed. |

| Coolness: 81695 | I'm guilty of jay-biking myself but awhile back I almost got sideswiped by a bus who's driver either didn't see me, or simply didn't care. Either way I'm always cautious now whenever doing so and make sure to be fully aware of the surrounding traffic. |
