why would you exploit defenseless dogs for transport purposes?
go down to the old port and get a horse 'n carriage instead...
I'm feeling you up right now..

Dogs in that position are conditioned to be slaves from birth. If they knew what freedom was I guarantee they'd choose to pursue another function.

I know there's another term specifically for what you're describing, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. The only one that comes to mind is Stockholm Syndrome, though I know that that's not 100% the same thing as what I'm looking for.
I'm feeling fat and sassy right now..

Trust me, dude... Being a husky owner, these guys would run 24/7 if they could.... It's in their blood, they get bored extremely fast... If anything you're doing 'em a favor taking them out for a sled ride...

THANK YOU. Im studying animal behaviour and care/sciences and from what I learnt huskies/alaskan malamutes absolutely LOVE IT. Its in their blood. No brainwashing from when born. I know what I am talkign about...some people are very extremist and dont really get their facts straight when it comes to animals...ehehe they think anything is cruel...hehehe

Drumnbreast your dog is sooooooooo gorgeous...I LOOOOVEEEEE huskies. One of my fav. We have the cutest alaskan malamute up for adoption @ the spca..he needs a special home - VERY energetic..and BIG...lol He doesnt know his own size.
I have a husky/samoyed...she lives with my mom now cuz my landlord doesnt allow dogs..but she is very happy:)
I'm feeling fabulous right now..

Glad we agree!!!! I'd sure take the Mal if i had a little more space, would be a great buddy for my lil' one but unfortunatly, living in my dad's garage, he'd rip my head off if i'd get another dog...
And you have a Husky/Samo!?!?!?!? Me want pictures!!!!!!!!!! Now!!!!! I'm suer he's the cutest thing!!!

P.S.: is the Malamute a short or long coat, maybe i know someone who could take him.....

Well I THINK the MAL was ADOPTED yesterday!!! I did not see him...
He is short haired - HUGE...MONSTER. HE reaches me when he stands and I am 5'10. He is also very young...I think 1yr old...He is a big goof:)
BUt I will let u know if he was adopted - if not let me know what your frined thinks..his name is lucky:)

Yes my dog is the best!!! She is brown and black..weird mix...

Oh also if your friend lives in a big place with lots of space to run around - we have a retired sledding dog named Mooky. he is INSANELY energetic - 6 years old. All Black with a bit of white and crystal blue eyes...he is sooooooooooooooo nice. But he needs to be outside a lot to run around...I think he misses the sledding...but he cant do it anymore he needs to relax:)
A family adopted him but they brought him back because he wanted to be outside all the time and they didnt want him too...so dumb.
I'm feeling fabulous right now..
