I've decided to save up and enroll in the audio production program at my school (Vanier), and seariously try to puruse a career in this field.

Does anybody have any information on these schools, and on the careers that fallow them. Anybody go threw them have any information to offer.

I think they are kind of a waste of money, but I know the vanier program is less expensive than the other ones (I think)..

Don't expect an instant job right after you complete it, you still need to do a lot of networking.

you are better off saving up your money and spending the money on a bunch of good gear and learning how to use it.

I've heard a lot of negative reviews of Vanier actually, a lot of people graduated un satisfied. I've only heard negative reviews actually. Hmm...

There are a lot of really good smaller schools in the 10,000 range you might want to look into, smaller classes and higher quality studios. I went to Recording Arts Canada in Old Montreal and had a very good time, they have par studios (high quality macs in all three of their studios, and a Mackie DB8 as well as Yamaha O2 so you get all the standard studio mixers to work on).
