What is the best horror movie you have seen? I'm talking scary, not gory but genuinely jump-tacular. Movies like Saw II are cringefests but not actually fearsome in any way. So what movies are?! let me know :)
I'm feeling awesome right now..

There aren't too many that have gotten me scared, especially recently. Off the top of my head though, I'd have to say that the american version of The Ring and Pulse were pretty fuckin' creepy, and the original JuOn: The Grudge and The Curse (not the remake or the remakes, haven't bothered watching those)

When I was younger, the first horror movie I saw was The Thing, and that had scared the shit out of me. Now it's one of my favorites though, great story and suspense. Hellraiser 3 had fucked me up, too, but I was like 12 when I saw that and was totally not expecting that beginning. Now, it's one of the ones I disslike the most, the hellraiser serries works in serries of 2, 1+2 are AMAZING, 3+4 suck, 5+6 are really good (follows along with the hellraiser mythology quite niceley and shows a diffrent perspective of things) and 7+8 really blow (8 being the worst out of the whole serries)

There's an old movie called The Changeling that's really good, creeped the fuck out of me when I saw it the first time. One of the best ghost stories put to film.

Howling 2: Your Sister's a Werewolf

Scary because I didn't really ever want to see a werewolf threesome. And a werewolf orgy.

Now they're just burned into my mind.

hahahahahaha yeah that was fuckin' hillarious. That movie was so ridiculous lol

And that crapy band that only knows one song! And the werewolf orgy at the end... That happens in the club that the band are playing that song! Only it's supposed to be taking place in a transylvanian castle, yet they're doing it all in the exact same club as the band was playing in in LA!

(it's on demonoid )

Howling V: The Rebirth was one of the really good ones in the serries. It's got elements from a few of my favorite movies. Bunch of people, locked in a castle, slowly getting killed off and no one has a clue what's going on or who they can trust. It's like combining Alien with The Thing/Reservoir Dogs for the story style, plus it's got a huge underground maze that the werewolf stalks people in!

Ichi is nothing compared to The Devil's Experiment. After the first 3-4 minutes, I don't think I was able to watch more than 2-3 seconds of the movie consecutively without skipping ahead a few minutes.

Evil Ed from Fright Night is in hardcore gay porn now.

I just watched this thing called Frankenfish. Not too bad, it pretty much works out to Tremors, but in the louisiana swamps with mutant snakeheads.
