I just bought the Opcode MIDI translator II interface for my old Performa (cost me $10)
I was obviously thinking of using my Mac as a controller, but where are the programs for this??? It seems all they do is receive MIDI data, but I want them to send!
If anyone knows a good free program, I'd like to know.

hehehe yeah, I feel ya. As soon as I get a new computer, I'm dual-monitoring again (tri if I can afford it) because I just don't have the room to do everything at once. I'd like to see ALL my VST controll panels without having to click through an army of menues.
