I was curious if anyone else ever shared this feeling, I've thought about it a lot and figure that Im probably not the only one, and that it could easily be pegged as another side effect of modern day society, but does anyone else ever feel alienated by organic music? I mean, I listen to probably 90% if not more electronic music on a daily basis. My roots are very much in organic forms of music, having played several instruments and having grown up listenning to rock etc... But these days, sometimes I seriously feel detached when I listen to any type of organic music, aside from breaking it into peices in my head while Im listenning to it, and remixing it up there aswell, I just feel like I can't relate so much anymore, sometimes at all. I go to bars and listen to all the classic rock and punk and alternative, and I just feel like it doesnt make much sense anymore, like its some form of alien music. But then I listen to any type of electronic music and it makes perfect sense and I really feel it, so much so that I can almost picture microchips heating with electric current and cooling fans buzzing away and all types of cables patched in here and there...

My question is simply if anyone else ever feels this way, of if this is some form of musical issolation that I've contrived in my own life, something I live alone... am I becoming more machine than human?

The only real diffrence I found in myself is that I don't tend to go to concerts all that often anymore. I tend to listen to a wide variety of stuff depending on what kind of mood I'm in.

Most frequently played artists in my Winamp this week:

Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxie and the Banshee, Dead Can Dance, Black Sun Empire, MuDvAyNe, Collective Soul, Technotronic, Stereo MCs, Evil's Toy, Wumpscut, Rammstein..

Of course, whenever I'm listening to ANYTHING now, weather it's something I like or not, I also always break it all down and think of how it can be remixed, and almost every one that I think might sound good, I at least give it a shot to see if I can get anything working alright.

Coming up, Collective Soul - Gel, in DnB :lol
