Yeah thats sad, the first woman ever to be killed in combat operation in the Canadian Forces. Now Haper want to stop sending Quebecer in Afghanistan, not because of her death(she was not Quebecer) but cuz this war is very unpopular in this province. Thats sad too cuz me and my friends in my regiment were planning to go there but due to what Harper said maybe we will never be deploy.

So I cant defend my country cuz im Quebecer Very nice Uncle Harper!

im gonna put more meat in this later, I have something to do right now...

SPEAK UP!

Do you know how many terrorist cells we have in Montreal? 40! And were the ONLY Country on the Talibans list to be not striked....yet but thats a another story. I dont agree to pulling out of Afghanistan, we have invested so much money and a lot of work still to be finished. If we get out now, Talibans will be back in power and I let you guest whats gonna happen after that. We need to finish what we started. Sometimes, I really dont understand people, they see some of our soldiers returning home in bags and they panic, they said something like "Oh my god! we loosing soldiers so its not a good war, then we need to get out of this place" HEELLO!!! ITS WAR! war its not a walk in the parc! Of course we loosing soldiers but they were not forced to go there and they know the risks. I respect everybody opinions about if this war is good or not but try to understand the objectives of all this, were here to help and solve troubles like we always do in the Canadian forces

While i don't think we should leave afganistan.. i do find it interesting that since the country has been overtaken, drug use/production and crime has gone up substantially..

If they need help than why can't we just sent them aid without soldiers? For example we could send people over there to teach trades to the children. If we teach the children how to be mechanics and electricians and politicians and farmers maybe the country will be a better place in 50 years but nobody thinks of doing that, instead they send a bunch of soldiers to intimidate the population and create social unrest. We can't just force people to follow us, the least we can do is ask nicely, without a gun and maybe then they'll have some more respect for us. It would be cheaper too. I guess the only way to know if their presence is a good thing is by asking someone who lives in Afghanistan. Who isn't in the Taliban.

i think the premise is that the taliban will just reassert control if there isn't a western military presence in the area to stop them....

We only lost 15 soldiers though, that's nothing really. I would have expected a lot more. I don't think the issue here is death of soldiers for anyone so much as the people of Afghanistan. I don't think that anyoen would lose support of the mission simply for that. We really don't get much information on what's going on in Afghanistan and I think that we have the right to know, they just leave us blinded. I can only wonder about what side I'm on. I'm also appaled that they chose to censor images of soldier's coffins. We are all grown up now, we don't need to be subjected to mind control and things like that make people wonder.
