 Coolness: 229670 | For Enlighten on the 6th of May we will be filming various aspects of the event to create a meta documentary/film for distribution amongst the masses. This is designed to promote education, enlightenment, empathy, etc. regarding montreals scene, djs, vjs, deco artists, volunteers, shamans.. The whole event concept is tailered as a meta event, more people involving more people to create metaspectacle fantasmystic orgasm of the consciousness.
Desired Equipment/Etc. .Video Cameras + 14 hours tape each .Digital Cameras (half price ticket) .Unique Lights (half price ticket) .Unique UV Art (half price ticket) .Musicians/Instruments (half price ticket) .Poi Peoples, both glow and flame (h.p.t.) .anytype-a-skill being merge-in-able (???) (If you bring a digital cam and use it, hookup to a computer and give us copies before leaving) ~OR~ Volunteer to video edit portions of footage with unique style for input into the metadocumentary. ~OR~ Create songs with enlightening spoken/sang wording within chosen music genres, utilizing either pre-existing music and text or completely new stuff. (We have a large stock of enlightening texts available) ~OR~ Volunteer to work with existing UV painters to create a video presentation of the art with text decriptions of the involved symbology, meaning and authorships etc. For display on monitors. ~OR~ Got an idea always felt like rave suited but never been there? Write it up. Get involved. Other ideas exist, metamorph in. |

I am about enlightenment, amalgamation of community networks and participation in group conception. Everyone involved will be pleased with the outcome, this is NOT about money. |

 Coolness: 73465 | I agree with Scott. I think if you are not about money AT ALL the party should be free altogether. I mean...if you expect pople to volunteer and use their time and effort to help you make a documentary for your party, and then PAY YOU for a half price ticket...that sounds kinda ironic to me. |

especially if you want ppl to lend you camera's and lighting rigs and shit... that kinda stuff should be rented with a credit card not borrowed from strangers... that way its covered by insurance if something gets broken. i really can't see many ppl jumping to lend out that kinda stuff when the full price of a ticket is probably 1/10th what it cost for a light bulb. |

It's not hard to get DJs to play for free if they are not greedy... I mean I don't understand the logic of this.. Paying the DJs but not the people who film the party or whatever... Bringing in an expensive camera and filming is WAY WAY more work than Dj'ing. Seriously nobody in their right mind would offer to help with this if they have to pay to help. You might as well make the DJs pay to go to the party too.. It's kind of loony. |

this is what i suggest: ~ this party is about making a video movie. the people who bring the cameras should be the ones filming, with directions from the 'directors' of the movie. that is: because the people who have the cameras are people who have experience using the camera, who know how it works and how to make the best of it. and who love filming, too, of course, otherwise they would not have a camera. and also a camera is a valuable thing people are not ready to put in anyone's hands, and we don't want to have responsibility for broken stuff. the people coming in with a camera should get in for free because they will spend the whole night filming, and they are necessary to the concept. ~ digital camera - half price ticket. that makes sense. consider in a 'normal' party you'd pay the regular price. but you have to share those pictures afterwards, otherwise there is no use for it. ~ unique lights - what is unique lights anyways? any special lights that create effect that you may have. laser. strobe. spinning color lights. you get to install your light somewhere and contribute to the vibe and the movie. getting a half-price ticket for that makes sense - it's not too much work to bring a light now is it? ;) ~ unique uv art - deco in a party is building it up the whole day before. i think if you're ready to spend time helping before the party starts you should get in paying a volontary contribution. participating in the deco shows you care. by the way people half price of this party is only 5 bucks. and if you really don't have five bucks but want to contribute it's ok too. but just please be honest and realistic to yourself and the situation. ~ instruments & poi people - i think that one is clear. |

lighting is REALLY expensive.... and you need to pay a technician to set it up and run it. wierd lamps without technicians are a fire hazzard.... |

| Coolness: 229670 | setup of lighting is simple and any odd strobe light or colored spinner people have decorating thier room wold fill in the areas with extra ambiance and be very appreciated. Not asking for big stuff, just any help possible. All the better for everyone involved and we're very capable of taking very good care of all devices, responsible people only around here. :)
