Music for the masses. Obviously, the masses have the combined intelligence of mentally-challenged sheep. I'm not expecting anything stellar on commercial radio, mind you but it's the fact that they blatantly lie to your face that bothers me. Best music selection ? We play what you want to hear ? Seriously, all I'm hearing is the exact same songs everyday in a different order. And they have the nerve to think that ALL OF US are dumb enough not to notice.

I mean, the Police, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Faith Hill and Phil Collins today, Mariah Carey, the Police, Faith Hill, Phil Collins, Celine Dion and Kelly Clarkson the next. Wow. Awesome selection, fuckwads.

Then you wonder why poor Lee here gets run over by cars : people fall asleep behind the wheel listening to that same insipid bullshit day in and day out.

Sowing the seeds of evil, I say. Why is it that music that's destined to make me relax is the one that actually makes me want to go downtown with a chainsaw and make mince meat out of the sea of powersuit-wearing incompetents who promote such radio stations and discuss Canadian Idol participants lack of clothing ethics and Loft Story's girls hairdues all fucking day long at 7 times my salary ? Why ? I mean, even death metal doesn't even phase me enough to want to kill.

Please terrorists, don't crash a plane on the Olympic stadium, target Cité Rock-Détente instead.

For you liz:

KELLY CLARKSON LYRICS

"Since U Been Gone"

Here's the thing we started off friends
It was cool but it was all pretend
Yeah yeah
Since U Been Gone

You dedicated you took the time
Wasn't long till I called you mine
Yeah Yeah
Since U Been Gone

And all you'd ever hear me say
Is how I pictured me with you
That's all you'd ever hear me say

But Since U Been Gone
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get
What I want
Since U Been Gone

How can I put it? you put me on
I even fell for that stupid love song
Yeah yeah
Since U Been Gone

How come I'd never hear you say
I just wanna be with you
I guess you never felt that way

But Since U Been Gone
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get what I want
Since U Been Gone

You had your chance you blew it
Out of sight, out of mind
Shut your mouth I just can't take it
Again and again and again and again

Since U Been Gone
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you (thanks to you)
Now I get what I want
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you (thanks to you)
Now I get (I get)
You should know (you should know)
That I get what I want
Since U Been Gone
Since U Been Gone
Since U Been Gone

tell them you are deeply religious and are offended by songs talking about "making love"...

People will bend over backwards for religious freedom these days...

might I say that I've been complainning about comercial radio here in Montreal for years now, only very few seem to listen to me... I actually set up a meeting with Rob Braide a couple of years back and pitched him on the idea of setting up an off hours radio session of electronic muzik, and he said it wasn't comercially viable... as though a city with several afterhours, universities and an insane amount of youth market businesses wouldn't make it fly... WTF!!!! The problem is partially due to the CRTC having their heads shoved so far up their asses they still think its 1986, and the other part is in the old money controlling english radio here in Montreal, INSANELY OUT OF FUCKING TOUCH WITH THE 21RST CENTURY!!!! It is agrevation to no end, as a dj, beat maker, promoter etc, the state of FM radio in Montreal is appauling!!!! You know that Halifax has about a 1/4 of our population and they have 2 major urban muzik radio stations... we dont even have ONE!!!! Anyways, I could go on about this for days, but I have an angle, I may very well be trying to pull a trojan horse on montreal radio within the comming year, we'll see, I haven't given up yet, and if there's anything I would love to leave as a mark on my city, it'd be a positive change in FM programming, one that is severely overdue and badly needed!!!

Ufot-not going nuts about radio shit

in defense of people who listen to pop music..

not everyone cares as much about music as people on this site.. most people don't care about it and just want something to amuse their ears. Same reason people eat at mcdonald's.. they're hungry and want something that tastes alright..
