el-dee: simple, if they have a serious drug addiction, they CANNOT be trusted. They will put the drug above everything else.

scottyp,
i don't know you, but i think you're a little annoying.
stop preaching, no one will listen to you anyway.
i don't do drugs on a regular basis (read: barely not), but i have friends that smoke crack and do meth and i still love them.
i will never judge someone regarding the drugs he/she does.
the only way you can really help someone going through bad times is by showing that person you really love him/her, and you'll be around whenever he/she needs you.
don't push and argue, or you will lose all your credibility.
that's all.
a human soul remains a human soul.

i think scotty was just being realistic...i was a compulsive gambler years ago....i wouldn't have trusted me either....same with a hard core addict...

you can still love a crack fiend....just don't give him the keys to your pad

cloak: If you were a real friend you wouldn't let them suck their lives away.

Accepting that someone has a serious addiction and not doing anything about it means you don't care if they die.

Maybe you should think about that before making stupid comments.

oooh...but i don't agree with your last comment scotty....ooops yes i do.....the now 2nd last one (that was close)...hahaha

you can't "let" or "stop" a friend from doing anything...just give them advise, let them know what they are becoming...it's still up to them if they want to continue

cloak and scotty are both just stating how they feel....there is no right or wrong...it all depends on an individual's reality/past experiences

maybe we'll know when we die....until then, personal opinion creates discussion, which is thought, which is good

If scott doesn't wanna trust someone who does drugs thats his choice.

There are many different ways you can trust someone.

I agree with catherine.

But im not sure eldar meant drug wise when he started this thread.

If someone asks me to keep something a secret or puts there trust in me to do something I can be trusted.

I think people who can't be trusted have been like that there whole lives and drugs has little to do with it.

People make me sick, whatever you people DON'T claim to be open people because you are not, Cloak, i believe what you say, but i can agree with what Caj says...that both of you are just trying to state their oppinions, but why the fuck do (and this is much more directed towards Scott) you have to be so generalized?

"they CANNOT be trusted. They will put the drug above everything else."

i know you are intellligent scott, i know you know your shit about ALOT of stuff...but someone like you has got to come up with a better response than that, it's almost as bad as

"cloak seems immature.."

really, fantastic

but can you explain this

"cloak: If you were a real friend you wouldn't let them suck their lives away.

Accepting that someone has a serious addiction and not doing anything about it means you don't care if they die."

so Scott what would you do??? Cause all I've ever heard of you doing, IS COMPLAIN, and you know what, no is listening, they really aren't. Cloak, though i know only a fraction of her personality, seems to have done not only encourage people to try and do better, but she also has helped them, which is much more MATURE then complaining and whinning about them.

you know what. forget it, people get your heads out of your asses, stop pretending to be open people, and try and accept someone else's point of view, and this is directed to everyone on this BOARD not just this thread...
