Dressing Candy For Fun

So obviously this is the rave scene so there are some of us that have Candy as a way of life. There are others that have made it their life mission to kill all candy kids.
With Rave Wars coming up and the theme being candy, I wanted to know what 'normal' people thought about dressing up candy as a special fun thing, just like dressing up for Halloween. Is that something people are willing to do or do they just take themselves too seriously to ever do it even for one night? |

I take myself so fucking seriously... sometimes... I look at myself and cry because my reflection was so serious that it made me cry... |

I thought you were gonna say you put a dress on a lollipop or a tutu on a bazooka gum. |

never tried it, could be fun maybe...
it's all in having the time to make a candy suit and the money for all the things involved... |

I've found that most 'retired' candy kids have a box full of stuff. I've got people bringing me up stuff from Ottawa, and adding a few choice peices myself. I'm staying away from the bracelets, those are kinda passe ... although i will accept bracelets from new friends! PLUR :D |

You've pretty much summed up how I think of dressing Candy. It's just something fun to do, although a lot of people don't like it because of the effort involved. I mean unless you have a lot of braclets, you gotta make them, and fuck thinking of designs sometimes takes ages. Then whatever accesories you wanna add on and what not, I mean to anyone who's never done it they probably don't realize it, but it's a lot of work, hence why I'm lazy and just don't bother a lot of the time (and all the bracelets is not the most confortable thing in a hot sweaty rave). I mean you don't gotta be candied up to be PLUR ;P
But basically I do find it like dressing up as a sort of fun theme kinda thing, kind of in the same vein as Halloween. Plus I don't have to worry about about the whole "guys dressed in candy look like fags! OMGWTFH4X0RZ" considering I am =P *rolls eyes* btw, the whole hater thing is just tired people. I don't understand why people care in the first place why someone they don't know is dressed like a freaking bag of skittles. Live and let live, I mean you don't see anyone complaining that you look like everyone else. |

Can I use caps lock just for once?
I AGREEEEEE!!!!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYAYYAYYAYYAAAAAAAA!!!!! J'ai hâte à rave wars!!!! Fuck, colours are fun, and they make you happy... I mean, when the winter is only 2 colours: grey and white (and sometimes brown in the city streets.. weuuhh) and no sun to light up our days, you need to put something colourful, happy stuffs you know... Man, I love topics like that! They boost me up! :D :D :D We should have more happy-fun topics rather than bitching and bad news topics! ;) |

PLUR :D you know, you have to make some to give away also, its not very plur to just take some but not give any... And im being totally serious. You wear your favorites on your left arm and the ones you want to give away you wear on your right.. that way you just stick out your arm and people can choose one and you dont have to go " oh no, not THAT one" I feel all nostalgic now.. Personally, I always want too, and I have a couple pairs of phat pants I cant part with.. But when I get ready and put something together, I end up changing right before I leave, I dont know why.. I just dont feel comfortable in it anymore, I guess.. |
