BIG UPS. the Wells were pretty good, had their moments, did a tom waits cover.....kinda R.E. M-ey and had this like 60`s poprock band style..... and they were funny when they got really drunk. This wouldnt be an honest review without some nasty complaint- Some fuckin coked up HO BITCH in some sort of managerial position had to get up and butcher HAPPY BIRTHDAY and SWEET DREAMS (EUrythmics).I hid in the bathroom so i wouldn;t punch her and get Steve in trouble. Jello is such a sweet bar though, what`s up with the other nights there, does anyone know? Housey house....what?I know MIsayo and Jojo Flores play there often or have a weekly or seomthing...any other nights poeple go to there? |

 Coolness: 149035 | therapy thursdays @ jello bar are no more, i dont really know what's goin on there, housy house i guess live bands occasionally n RnB shits i imagine. the wells are fucking dope, wicked guys, anyone should check them out at [ www.thewells.ca ] not only did some wicked covers (20 min. version of Canned Heat's On the Road Again what?!?!?!? ) jammin shit out, but they also got a wicked ear for songwriting, their original songs really impressed me, they got 3 albums out and ya, if you like classic rock, late 60s early 70s style, this guys rule.
thanks for the support all that came out, groundbreaking gig for sarcastic first time at jello, and penetrating the local rock scene a little bit, was relaly fucking fun |
