Ever since people here started taking meth and K, there has been a higher level of fighting between people who like the drugs and people who don't and people who think no one should touch these drugs.

But, in the midst of all the fighting, there is always the same message that pops up. "Hi, it's everyone's personal choice!".

Well yes, it is everyone's personal choice to do what they want to do, but that IN NO WAY protects them from the fallout of their decisions. Some of this fallout includes losing friends, people blasting you for your decisions, getting insulted, getting picked on, ect.

If you don't like it, change! Otherwise put up and shut up, since it is THOSE PEOPLE'S free will that made them do this to YOU.

I am now prepared to face the fallout of this post...

It's a bitch to say it but I have to say it again "Olee and me told you so!". I remeber back when K was the only 'problem' going around the users of rawveave and how everyone was like.. it's only K.. we're responsable, it's not going to lead us to harder stuff... till ice came to town. All of a sudden it's the new cool thing, ppl started doing it only at parties, then house parties and then 3-4 times a week... and they still keep on saying that everything is normal and that nothing has changed coz they don't see what they are turning into. I don't want to post any names but if you feel offended it's coz deep inside you know it's true.

this article expands on the story a bit:

Sheriff Looks Into Water-Drinking Death
By JULIET WILLIAMS 01.19.07, 1:38 AM ET

As participants in KDND-FM's water-drinking contest chugged bottle after bottle, a listener called in to warn the disc jockeys that the stunt could be fatal.

"Yeah, we're aware of that," one of them responded.

Another DJ said with a laugh: "Yeah, they signed releases, so we're not responsible. We're OK."

Those comments, and others made during the Jan. 12 "Morning Rave" radio show, appeared to give little regard to the risk of water intoxication. But just hours after the contest, a woman who guzzled nearly two gallons was dead.

On Wednesday, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department launched a criminal investigation into the incident, and attorneys for the family of Jennifer Lea Strange said they plan to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the radio station.

The county coroner said preliminary autopsy findings indicate Strange, a 28-year-old mother of three, died of water intoxication.

Authorities decided to pursue the investigation after listening to a tape of the show, obtained by The Sacramento Bee, during which DJs joked about the possible dangers of consuming too much water, sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Tim Curran said. At one point, the DJs even alluded to a college student who died during a similar stunt in 2005.

Strange was one of about 18 contestants who tried to win a Nintendo (other-otc: NTDOY.PK - news - people ) Wii gaming console by determining how much water they could drink without going to the bathroom.

Several hours into the contest, Strange was interviewed on the air and complained that her head hurt.

"They keep telling me that it's the water. That it will tell my head to hurt and then it will make me puke," she said.

Eventually, Strange gave in and accepted the second-place prize: tickets to a Justin Timberlake concert. She commented that she looked pregnant, and a female DJ agreed.

"Oh, my gosh, look at that belly. That's full of water. ... Come on over, Jennifer, you OK?" a male DJ asked. "You going to pass out right now? Too much water?"

Several hours later, Strange was found dead in her home.

On Tuesday, KDND's parent company, Entercom/Sacramento, fired 10 employees connected to the contest, including three morning disc jockeys. The company also took the morning show off the air.

Station spokesman Charles Sipkins said Wednesday the company had not yet heard from the sheriff's department but that it would cooperate with the investigation.

v0id: no point preaching to these people, nobody will learn their lesson untill they go through the hell of losing a friend forever.

personal choice outweighs everything else....if you lose a friend, that hurts...but that friend must make their own path in life and it is exactly where they must be at that moment. It will lead them to whatever lessons they want to learn......whether you see it as good or bad....
I've done lots of different drugs, some of them in excess but it was my choice to stop taking the ones i felt were harmful to me...

notice the "my choice" and "i felt".....that's all that matters....it's up to you as a friend to go your own way or be there for me when i crash or pull myself out

being a friend is not easy, sometimes it's too much....i have completely cut off one old friend who went psyco....it was too much

for others i've given them support for YEARS and will continue to do so....it's not my place to force them to stop, i can only choose to be there for them or not

there is no right/wrong when it comes to personal choice..
