JUST DO THIS! (broadband only)

type "about:config" in the address field...
scroll down and find these:

network.http.pipelining - set it to "true" (just left-click and it will enable multiple connections to http servers)

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests - sets the max number of parallel connections, i've set this to 40...

network.http.proxy.pipelining - set this to "true" too

and then create a new integer (right click>new>integer) and paste this as it's name:

nglayout.initialpaint.delay

set the value to 0 (zero), as this is the time between firefox receives the data and displays it...

try surfing around after this...

Yeah, great idea, bombard every server you visit with as many connections as you can and watch how long it takes before you start getting blocked from visiting sites because it looks like your trying to DOS their server.

http pipeling is great and RFC compliant. It's just not on by default because old web servers don't support it.

and, you can also try the FasterFox extention, it does this, but with a profile and everthing:
[ addons.mozilla.org ]

Put the "Optimized" setting, which is RFC compliant and not too agressive.
